Waaaaaaah, im cancelling. Cancel it, no one cares. You dont seem smarter for doing so so keep the estrogen down. Some people nipick the dumbest crap. If you were really excited about this release you would have stuck with it to see if it was worth canceling/returning. This figure is better than 80% of the crap hot toys puts out. Its funny how some people arent on this thread but 2 times, once to say they preordered and once to ***** about release and cancel. Bunch of debbie downers.

:goodpost:

Exactly! I mean I see a ton of negativity on these threads, mostly by the same people. I don't see what the big deal about the rubber joints are. It's not like you're going to be playing with this thing over and over. Once posed it should be fine.

Seeing pics like this...

Made me think they shoulda included a dynamic stand like with Electro

this pic is awesome, glad to see it has a good range of motion. cant wait to get mine, granted i got a delay email of july/august... le sigh...

Every Hot Toys figure is flawed. At $300, you can expect a damn good figure, but not a perfect figure. And regardless of all the apparent problems, Raiden is pretty good.

The thing about the rubber is not nitpicking. It is true that the quality of the rubber has improved over the years, but still makes a lot of past collectors nervous and cautious that learned the hard with figures like The Comedian, Medicom Goku, the Mars Attacks figures, the DX Batman, etc.

For me, the main complain is the restriction on the elbows. Like I mentioned, I really like putting my figures on extreme, cool poses, not just have them standing there. I have already discarded some poses I had planned for him due to the elbow limitations.

That is your way of treating your figures, I personally change poses often so durability is very important and that is why I have avoided many figures with rubber, except the AC Batman, Hulk and this figure.

Cancelled, what a terrible turn out

The figure looks exactly the same now as it did in march 2014, and all the shows since. The only thing to change is we see it can pull off some great poses. It does have some things i dislike, the rubber arms and the sword/sheath size being a bit small. But its always been like that. To whine that something came out as its been advertised for the last 16 months doesnt make sense to me.

What I don't understand, is that Hot Toys used actual ball joints for the legs, but they couldn't have done that for the arms?

That doesn't make sense, the figure wouldn't have looked the same, regardless. The hair, and the proportions are very different from PAK. Just like how the PAK figures are very different from Revoltech's Raiden.

In any case, having rubber elbows will hinder articulation. Just look at the previous pictures, and how the forearms can't turn. There's also the issue of longevity of rubber-covered joints.

It takes like a month for SS to get their stock. June is essentially over. It's probably early August.

Yeah, I don't get it. I don't even get the freak out over the figma Snake. From one or two little pics, and that had more differences from proto to final peace.

I does look like the sword was lengthened of not slightly. I'm still all in, hopefully the success of this makes them create more MGS figs. What are the chances of them doing classic MGS. I've noticed HT only do recent release based figures

Nice vid. The shoulders look good and flush now.

Disappointed with the EX sword. Seems plastic? And they got rid of the hamon detailing.... WHY HT!??
