I understad that point of view but I disagree, there is a reason why I choose to buy figures instead of statues. I want to be able to pose them however I want (keep in mind that I'm against rubber bodies and single jointed elbows on ANY kind of figure)

They limited the pose options for a "better look" which BTW doesn't look good at all imo how the figure is "meant to be posed" should be our decision they shouldn't decide for us.

Just saying, it's just my opinion, I still like this figure despite all of this

The problem is, HT can never please everybody, and if they would have to follow everyone's decisions, then HT would have to come out with several versions of a single figure just so everyone's decisions and expectations can be met. You want ultra-poseable, some want better looking joints. It's not statue, all right, but it's not a $30 figure with those joints either. Like I said, it's a compromise.

Just look at the Roadblock figure, for example. HT decided to give the figure double-jointed elbows just so it can achieve better poses with its machine gun, but since it has short-sleeved shirt many are complaining about the joints being "ugly". To date, there's no company yet who has come up with good-looking double joints for knees and elbows, and til then these companies would have to compromise and decide for themselves, because collectors' decisions can never be one and one decision only.

Bane and friends.

Where did you get the Talia hs from, looks killer?

Found it on ebay...it's the Kumik 13-94. By no means is it Marion Cottilard but it's the best one I could find for the project and I'm cool with it. Hopefully Hot Toys will come back one day and seal the deal with an Al Guhl two-pack. Here are some closer shots...

Fantastic Talia - I think you've inspired my next project. Care to share the recipe for the parts you used?

Thanks so much!

Here’s the recipe:
Head Sculpt: Kumik 13-94
Body: Phichen large bust seamless version 4
Shirt: Sideshow Kit Fisto (dyed wine and “tailored” – I can’t sew so I used paper tape inside)
Pants: Wamami purple combat tights (cut and dyed brown)
Belts: Very Cool Red Army Female Soldier (the thin one)
Boots: ThreeZero Tyrion (modded straps, added buckles and painted)
Detonator: a piece of a scope cut from a random gun I had
Knife: Carlito switchblade. Totally inaccurate but couldn’t resist

I got that body because I thought the head it came with was kind of like comic book Talia, but it was very Angelina Jolie in hand. Then I found the Kumik and was all set. Underneath her shirt is a dyed Hot Toys Angelica vest that I'd like to replace with some more accurate scarves and also add the trim to her shirt. Not sure what to use for that but I was thinking maybe some metallic taffeta ribbon. Also going to add all the little metal bits to her belts with soldering wire, I think.

Thanks again, I’m glad you dig her! She’s a fun little project…

Finally managed to snag myself a spare Bane jacket. :yess:

I'm going to weather the hell out of that when it arrives.

Weathering this coat has been a right pain in the butt (used sandpaper, stone and a skin filler) and although I'm not 100% happy with it I will leave it as is because I think I may do more damage than good in the long run. :gah:

Still at least it looks a little weathered as the stock one was just to clean -

I am going to look at my stock Bane jacket tomorrow and compare it to my weathered one and I will have a comparison pic up.

Nice job!

I've got a Bane due to arrive on Wednesday. Really looking forward to having him join the Bat Group... ;)

In regards to weathering the coat, another option is to use pastels to give it a faded look but without damaging the coat. If you don't like how it looks, you can simply wipe it off with a moist tissue.

By the way, are those the stock pants or did you replace them?
