Looks awesome. Mine arrived with a couple of broken pieces and SSC is out of replacement parts....:gah:
that is why I had to return it and order again !! stupid way to get a good statue, but i have to do it.

Thanks. Yah mine had a broken toe and handle of axe broke. No replacement but $50 credit. Should expect more with a piece of this price but oh well. Won't that let me piss me off. Prime is too awesome.
$50? that sucks, at least $100 should offer, it's a expensive statue but many of us got broken parts.

Aren't you displaying the axe? Or did you fix it yourself? Had to fix a hand plug/magnet problem myself.

Other then that mine only had an issue with the battle head (well at least the worst issue). But luckily no breakages. My other issue was a cosmetic one.

Haven't heard back from my store yet.

Wish the standard bust had a removable head like the battle damaged one. Would've solved my main issue.

I gorilla glued it back together and it's been holding up since. Sideshows response:

"If you would like to keep your Optimus Prime Exclusive as is, we can offer you a $50.00 Sideshow Collectibles credit that can be used on a future purchase or existing preorder. If you would like to place a new order with this credit, contact us with the item number and we will book a new order for you. If you accept the above credit offer and need a recommendation for a type of glue to repair your item, we recommend Zap-A-Gap which comes in a green bottle and is available in most hardware or hobby stores. It is also available for purchase online."

Thought it was funny they recommended a glue for me lol

you guys should contact Prime 1 directly to see if they can help with broken pieces. They have a contact on the other forum.

I did and the answer I got from them is the same thing that they don't have replacement which is bs and they want me to sent it to their factory and fix it, wtf? Where? China?

Nice one Optimus Kyn :lol

Ok,so Sideshow and Prime1 are out of replacement parts? This makes me have second thoughts about purchasing this later on.There is no way i would accept partial refund for defects.
It's poor service by Prime1 to say they are out when the piece cost over 2k.Collectors would accept a slight delay, but at least offer to make more replacement parts so customers wouldn't feel ripped off.

its issues like this, which puts me off ordering me more statues nowadays,, the best bet would be to pick up locally after inspecting but there are no stores here in India,

If i lived in India I would never collect, between the miles of the journey for such a fragile item, along with the many hands that is goes through it enough risk for me.Futhermore the customs in India are so corrupt and unintelligent when they open up statues for inspection, unlike normal customs which just take a peak and reseal the package, those men remove almost everything with very little regard or care, and return the pieces back into the foam improperly...or the classic lost package. If the item isn't broke by the time it arrives to them, surely after they touch it in most cases will be further damaged.I have sold quite a bit to collectors in India in the past, but not anymore, especially nowadays when paypal doesn't want transactions from that country. Please do not take this the wrong way mate,i have some friends and family in India and I see this stuff happen to family back east all the time and most of them have stopped collecting because it simply isn't worth it.Maybe one day India will have a LCS,but until than you are subjected to whatever arrives at your front door,if it shows up that is

i dont understand paypal not accepting payments from India, i still make payments thru paypal, ur right about everything, else, been collecting for 5 years and have had my fair share of damages, drastically cutting down collecting, used to get 20-25 statues/figures first 2-3 years ,this year I have ordered about 2 each from SS and XM and 1 from PCS, which i still think is more than what i wanted to order, lol
if i buy from ebay i always ask to declare low value, that way, sometimes it escapes customs checking, high value items are always opened up, declaring low value has its risks though, but after declaring full value, getting a damaged item and nothing in terms of compensation inspite of paying insurance, i think its better to declare low value,

Yes and I asked them directly and still no replacement, and i have heard a lot ppl getting him with broken parts.
It's very very detail nice statue but who wants to pay $2k for some broken parts statue? Someone is selling $1700 at fb and no one wants it :(

Yup. I think the Transformer line is way too pricey. No way we can sell at what we purchase with this line

It's no excuse to say that they're out.Kinda arrogant if you ask me.Yeah doesn't surprise me that people would have to sell this with a loss as the price is just too much.I want this statue more than anything right now,but with the exchange rate these days plus what it would cost me to import it,i just don't have that kind off money.
And if replacement parts are out,i will not order this. Not worth the risk as im sure some of those fragile parts will arrive either broken or sit loose when assembled.

Hey guys, a little off topic but had a random question. Do you think that storing these statues in their original box with the shipping box on the outside in a garage will keep them safe? I just don't want any extreme cold or heat to bend any pieces or corrode anything. Like I said in shipping box and original box.

Hi xXxTHEPUNISHERxXx. While I don't own this statue as such - I own similar made statues in the same price range. Now unfortunately nothing is guaranteed - especially if you live in a place of extreme hot and cold temperatures and/or humidity. Any rubber parts you need to be mindful of, the hard resin should (I said should!) be OK.

This is what I would do. If you have had the statue/s on display - make sure you dust them with a very soft paint/makeup brush first before packing. Do not use a wet rag. Also wear gloves - any oil from you fingers could be potentially damaging. If you have torn/thrown away the original wrapping foam (the really thin foam that sometimes gets wrapped around parts) - use tissue paper but make sure it is Acid Free. If any of the parts came in plastic bags - I would think about replacing those with tissue paper as well (if you haven't unboxed it for display just leave it as is).

If your garage has a concrete floor - I would raise the boxes up off the floor. Find a disused wooden palette from factory/shop somewhere (or use bricks and planks of wood etc.). Basically you are trying to keep air flow around the box and the variation in the concrete floor temperature away from the box. Also if your garage is prone to flooding, then it is also a good idea to raise the boxes off the floor.

Once you have the boxes in place I would throw a blanket over them for good measure. If your garage is not weather tight - this helps prevent dust, dirt etc. getting on the boxes. Try and stay way from plastic, as you want the boxes to be able to breathe.

Every now and again check on the boxes to see if there any moisture damage on the outside, just in case. If so, you might have to store them in a different place.

Hope this helps.
