Anyone on here got this guy? cant find a discussion thread here on sideshow collectors. I still think the knight version statue looks better than this one but it never got released here in australia through the normal prime1 distributors. not sure if im keen to fork out a lot more for the ultimate version. if anyone has this, can u post some good pics.

I know that. I said that popcultcha didn't get the knight version. Was just wondering if anyone on here got the ultimate version??
 
I got it about 2 months ago. First Prime 1 statue and I love it. The knight version is really great due to the pose, but you miss so much détails on the piece.

I have another job and don't have the time to post on forums now, but I'll try to post pictures of mine.

I had to pass on DOTM Optimus and Grimlock due to space, kids, holidays, but I am really happy to have managed to get this impressive piece of art.

I am sure there will be a TLK Megatron Version to pair with it one day.
 
Cheers Bro. yeah, im not sure why but the ultimate doesnt look awesome in pics for some reason?? not real keen on the red on the autobot badge on the base either. i'd love to see one in person to change my mind.

other thing too is im sure they will do a last knight version which mite have a better pose? all the p1 statues are great for details, but boring poses, apart from knight version opt IMO.

What is the going price for the DOTM Optimus Prime? Would this be a better choice over the ultimate version?
 
I have seen it listed for 6k but I highly doubt that those are selling. A good price these days is 2500-2800. A recent eBay auction went for $1550 so you can still get a deal if you are patient.

It’s all about body style. If you prefer the truck look then this is the one for you. If you are ok with the sleeker look then Ultimate is a great pick up.
