I can't remember exactly now but two years ago when the Hoth display

Hot Toys, not Sideshow... I don't expect them to unleash (no pun intended) a large number of SW figures at one time.

That is good to hear. I thought it weird they wouldn't because they pulled out all the photos of her in this garb on the Leia panel at Celebration and Carrie had a good laugh. It seemed they were still promoting that image of her.

It would be nice to finally get a figure for her in this guise as well.

Yes, it is part of the SW lore that they bought. Its not going anywhere.

Think about it...they are not going to pull slave Leia merch and leave in Anakin merch...he is a known for slaughtering children.

HT revealed 7 AoU figures plus Thanos at one convention several months back.

Think about it...they are not going to pull slave Leia merch and leave in Anakin merch...he is a known for slaughtering children.

They have no problem with slave Leia here:

That is actually not true at all. Not sure where you got your info man, but I know for a fact Disney will still make slave Leia merch.

I got my info from a person who knows someone high up at Marvel Comics.

Look at the 100+ covers they've already done and try to find Slave Leia. Anything other than a headshot.

If any cover would sell to the comic book crowd, it would be a Slave Leia cover. It's now off-limits.

They told me this would extend to merchandising soon as well.

I got my info from a person who knows someone high up at Marvel Comics.

Look at the 100+ covers they've already done and try to find Slave Leia. Anything other than a headshot.

If any cover would sell to the comic book crowd, it would be a Slave Leia cover. It's now off-limits.

They told me this would extend to merchandising soon as well.

My info comes from a Disney employee in SW marketing emphasis on toys, and from what I have been shown it doesn't ring true with what you are saying. My info is solid and has been backed up/proven several times on this forum. I of course could be wrong because things change, but I know for 100% fact that there are Slave Leia toys and collectibles coming.

Fair enough. Maybe my guy was wrong or overextended what he was told. He told me everyone is dying to do Slave Leia covers and Marvel says no.

The comics industry has become more rigid regarding what will be allowed as covers. Just look to the recent drama over the cover of Joker holding Batgirl in a death grip. As far as comics go, i believe they don't want the backlash over covers so it's very possible that they said no to Slave Leia covers. As far as collectibles go, i don't see that happening. It's a favorite version of Leia. They won't sacrifice that kind of money.
