1/6th Scale Sideshow Tauntaun

Used all my points and got this for about sixty bucks shipped. The box is huge. Looking forward to tearing into it this weekend. The sideshow hoth stuff seems like it would display great in a custom diorama, might give it a shot.

The images look good, but... Why have you posted them in gif format? They're only 256 colors and you can see a lot of posterization and dithering in flatter color areas. JPG is what you need for continuous tone images (aka photographs).

I just got this today, pretty impressive piece. I am really looking forward to taking some proper pics and achieving a more dynamic setup. I plan on hiding the neck seam with the reigns. I am really pleased with this, glad I pulled the trigger.

It's a very cool piece. Maybe more front (as opposed to from-above) lighting might help hide that neck seam more. It's strange they didn't make the join line a bit jagged to emulate hanging fur.

I am so over Tauntauns right now - have been building my reboot of the hasbro Taun and have been looking at ref pics too long.

Had mine set up for a few weeks and can't get enough. SS really killed it with this piece. This is an example of production excucted perfectly.

With all else going on, Han and Luke sort of fell on the back burner. I only glanced them over and set Han on a Tauntaun, but didn't get to fully soak them in. At a glace I can say they are decent figs but it's the Tauntauns that are the show stealers in this mix
