Long hair usually looks better rooted rather than sculpted imo.

What do people think about the Asmus half sculpted, half rooted Tauriel figure? Could that sort of thing work with Dany's hair tied back?

I think that it's a likely candidate, but if done wrong it can look REALLY bad. So that's probably a coin toss away from wrecking the figure.

The Thor, provided his hair wasn't yarn colored, would look pretty good. As it stands though it appears like Thor cheaped out and got his hair colored in the discount salon.

However though, on that Facebook page, the Oldboy looks superb with rooted hair.

The thing is, for me, 9 times out of 10 real hair looks atrocious. It's doesn't lay right, if the right kinds isn't used it looks like stringy Barbie hair and worst of all the hairline is unspeakably horrid. A single black line, then hair. It's bad. The only real hair customs I've seen ( and own) that I'm not only 100% happy with but feel it's the best way to go is with Ledger Joker. And the only reason it works for him is because 90% of the hair is sculpted giving it realistic body and hairline. It's just real hair is placed in certain places and expertly blended in with paint to give the illusion that it's all real. I'm not a fan of real hair, but I'm not saying I can't be won over in singular instances if done right. But until then I'm highly skeptical. Dany would look good with sculpted hair along these lines.

Something held up in a bun with maybe a strand hanging down in the front or back ( the strand would be easy enough to replace with real hair for me personally). This is also the outfit I'd like her in. Season 2 Dothraki. While I may not be on the side of real hair most of the time I do understand those that have concerns over sculpted hair for someone with thick long hair and being able to pose said character etc.

And btw, that Thor piper posted looks great. The others not so much. :lol

OH WOW. WHAT IF. WHAT IF. If they do a throne we can replicate the posters! It'd be a cool exclusive for Joff. We need to find out if they're considering a second wave.

Only just occurred to me but Jon's more wide eyed expression will look great doing combat with a wight
any of news of threezero working on a 1/6 scale iron throne?

I would rather her have her "Mysha dress" aswell but i have a feeling she will get the Dothraki treatment. Every convo i have with a GOT fan that isn't all about the series always talks about her and Drogo. The man is like Boba Fett in popularity. I don't get it. He's cool but irrelevant.

The problem I have with most casual fans is they think her name is Khalisee. Today I was listening to Storm of Spoilers with a business partner and he asked me who this Dany was they were talking about. [emoji23]

There was a third party 1:6 iron throne made a few months back. It was a nice product just cost as much as a figure. Did not want to splash out for one back then. Can't remember who made it but I'm sure it's easy to find on google.

Honestly after 40 odd Hot Toys I havent been so excited about a range.
Mother of dragons has to be next.
Would look awesome standing infront of a few unsullied.

Star Wars is the most exciting thing from Hot Toys in a long time (OK, Alien and Back to the Future are super cool too if you plan to get them). But even their Star Wars releases have been hit and miss. Chewbacca by far the most exciting of the pre-orders and now Luke and Leia teases are getting things bubbling. But compared to what Threezero has been doing... If you're a fan of these properties, there's simply no comparison. This isn't just more of the same old same old (HT Depp/DC/Marvel). IMO, when they debut the main cast in their Walking Dead line they're going to blow up.

Now I have to get back to my campaign to see if they'll take on some other TV licenses... Mad Men, Twin Peaks, Justified and Banshee. Even one of those would be cool. I personally don't need more than 2-3 figures for each of those lines.
