I know this is a bit strange...but whether I buy this or not depends on if Rhodey makes it out of the film alive or not. I've got IP but no War Machine yet. The lack of open helmet on the IM3 version put me off it and led me to Patriot instead.
I prefer the bulkier look of Mark 1 so if he makes it out of AOU, then I'm gonna take a gamble that there will be a Mark 3 in Civil War or Infinity War and get that instead.

Thats not so strange. I passed on iron patriot because he does NOTHING in IM3 lol. If he does nothing in avengers ill pass on this too.

At first I thought he came with two gauntlet guns. Closer look, he doesn't ha. If I didn't have Patriot I would've got this. I'll happily wait for a mkIII, if we get one. Possibly sell my mk1 at some point too.

alright i dont have WM, but cmon the price is like the flipping price of WM1 . and what is the exclusivity about this WM AOU?

Lee at collectablesdirect in the past had been able to offer exclusives but he wasn't able to get Hot Rod or the stealth MK7. Really depends if it's exclusive to sideshow or not

Typically the way Sideshow handles exclusives with their wholesale accounts depends on on how popular the exclusive is. If they're still sitting on a lot of stock after a long time they make the exclusives available to wholesale accounts, but hot ticket items that sell out have no chance. I wouldn't be surprised if Sideshow starts offering Peacemaker to online retailers soon.

yea about the price . my tipping point for 1/6 will be 250$.. higher than that i pass.

Peacemaker has been available in the UK for some time now, I saw him at a show in the NEC for £170

Does ToyHQ get there's straight from HK? I know collectiblesdirect use sideshow.

I think I will order from sideshow just to be safe, I'm not sure if this will sell out or not, but I would like one for my collection.

Blah. Just another boring repaint. I'd rather get the original IM2 figure than any other iteration of this character.

I have the IM3 version so I'm going to pass, there is just too much AoU figures coming out. It would cost almost $6k if someone is to buy every AoU HT figure.

I agreed, there is too much reprints and reused parts in the AoU line, but it's unavoidable since it's the same characters again. Still, repaints I would expect from toys like Hasbro, but not for an expensive high end collectible.

That is not hot toys fault. Hot toys does not create these characters. The costume designs are just copies of the film costumes. So it doesn't matter who makes them, it's still all marvels movie designs. Everyone wants screen accuracy but then gets upset when the design is a repaint.

And if there where not repaints with the amount of characters in this movie it would take them five years to get them all produced. If everyone was a completly new design. And the price would be more.

When I first started collecting, the IM3 War Machine was one of my first collectibles. Something told me not to sell it. I'm super happy I didn't. With this new iteration though, I'll have to wait a while and just get the head sculpt and the new figure stand as it doesn't take up too much space.
