If he says he already made them, the whole reveal at the end is either ruined or less impactful. It was done the way it was intentially.

And it was never explicitly said during the movie that he actually had stealth armors ....sure he wears Nightclub and what was left of Sneaky during the final battle but unless the viewer read supplemental info to the movie they wouldn't know.

Perhaps actually using the stealth feature near the end would've been a nice little callback to that conversation. Ohhh if only the movie allowed us to get to know the armors better.

the armors were never even used for their purpose, and then were destroyed. Imagine him actually using the stealth suit on screen. Maybe he was just being nice to the kid and pretended he had an original idea. But the armor was my main problem with iron man 3. All the suits from 8-42 were prototypes, and they didn't even work, and they all got easily ripped apart or fell apart on their own. The mark 7 survived a fall from space, then to be caught by the hulk, but the 42 couldn't even survive being hit by a truck, which ruined what was a cool moment in the movie. Also, how in any way is flying around in pieces and taking forever to assemble better than the function of the mark 7 or any other suits from the iron legion. Man, that movie had so much potential to be great.

The 42 did survive the truck. Hence its inclusion in the final battle. Along with Marks 1-7 as well. They where in the im3 final battle. Also, all the armors where not weak and destroyed. If that where the case none would have been left flying over head at the end to be blown up in the HPP.

You mean the one that's turned around? The one with the Tony head is the one revealed today, the one next to it is BD Mark 43, and the one in front of Cap is the regular one.

They're 3 Mark 43's and 1 Mark 42 in that photo. The color scheme is a dead giveaway. Mark 45 isn't in there.

Had not seen the 45 back so no idea what it should look like.
But after seeing the new reveal of the non helmeted 43 I agree it's that.

It still bothers me that the mark 42 fell to pieces from the truck. Also, the marks 1-7 weren't in the final battle. Even though the suit pepper uses to kill Killian looks almost exactly like the mark 7, it's actually the mark 9
