Broken...

Dude!!!! WTH???? I'm sorry man, just opened mine and it's not broken. This is ridiculous, I really do feel bad for you.

Maybe it's me being down in San Diego? I assume this comes from Canada or something since it's got both English and French on the box. It's probably already broken before it ever leaves Texas to get to me.

I'm going to call and ask if they want me to keep trying, or if they'll let me keep a broken one for free and I'll just get it repaired.

Thanks man, but it really is bittersweet, I was hoping that we would both get a clean one and we could finally put this statue behind us and move on. Keep fighting the good fight brother.

Well, they have no more replacements (I think they are lying and just don't want to deal with me any more - ahhhh, irony), so I either return both and end up with nothing, or pay full price and keep one of the broken ones. Man, this sucks.

Their website still shows they are available, I'd take it to your local store and have them return it and order another one. It worked for me, it's worth a shot?

Good news, the new one looks much better (on the left - note paint app around the cape on the chest), so I'll keep that one and have it repaired, if the in-store thing doesn't work....

My biggest issue with this... who do I complain to? GameStop? Diamond Comics? DC Direct? It's all so convoluted.... everyone directs me to the other entity. I think DC should step up. But I'm just a peeon.....

The breakage issue is all DC Direct's fault. They had the exact same breakage issue with the non-colored version and did nothing about trying to fix the packaging to keep this from happening to the colored version. Gamestop just has the rights to sell this particular version, they didn't make it or package it. DC Direct has a history of breakages, poor paint apps, and fitment issues with a lot of their statues. And their customer service is one of the worst ever.

A comparison shot of the two, I prefer the original, but both are pretty cool. Glad to put this one behind me.

I completely understand. So far I know of 7 people that have ordered this statue and a I've counted a total of 4 broken statues. That's just a horrible job by DC Collectibles

I've already decided.... shipping both to my brother. He will glue the better one and turn the other into a Batman Beyond variant. At least I got catwoman and Harley color statues at this point...
