Yeah, that looks great. I remember that particular one because the eyes were redone. Definitely would take a steady hand.
Wasn't the pose changed as well? Seem to remember it was a bit more dynamic. I saved a pic of it somewhere...

Yeah wasn't crazy about that part hence why I cropped the picture showing just the head, the body kind of looks weird IMO.

But anyway here it is.

Yeah, that's the one.
The face looks really good there, great difference with the eyes. And it's a nicely lit shot which helps.
Pose is more ready for action, didn't realise you could get that much articulation from the statue. Something in-between might be good though.
Be interesting to see some different full body angles of that one.
But yeah, overall that is a nice looking piece.

I don't think there is any articulation involved, I believe this statue has been cut up (so to speak), in certain areas and then put back together, in order to achieve a different looking pose.

It's probably being a little unfair since I doctored the eyes on the GOD and it is a much nicer quality photo, but still....
You wouldn't think they had been done by the same company would you?

I was lucky and got the case custom made....ridiculously cheap!!

I've also had one done for this..i added a custom top border also.

Looks really nice in there. I was chatting to a friend of mine and he said this statue really does benefit enclosed in a glass box. He said it really enhanced the look of the statue.... I am looking into getting one. Need to pay a few bits off first lol

Going by those pics I would say no, but like you said the ETD pic is not a high quality picture like the GOD one is.

I imagine once more of these hit collectors homes we'll start to see some higher level of photography. Then there will be a more even playing field for comparison with GOD.

although the GOD is a quality shot,i just don't see the texture on the skin facial wise on the ETD.hope I'm wrong.

I think when you guys who have already purchased (or will be purchasing), see it in person, it might be a welcome addition to your collection. Yeah, maybe not proto quality, but it might be no worse than a few (maybe all) Bruce Lee figures/statues released before it.
this will go really nice as a pair of 1/3 scale statue . Guys are right we prob not get a 1/3 Brucey from any other company. Am sure I will still like it. Just gutted its not proto quality.

Hey desisandy. When you get your cartoon statue. Stick on Chinese god's for a watch.. then you can look at the statue and go WOW.. perfect
haha I just hope Arnie not come to this forum and see all the names am calling his master sculpt, So I make this very clear is not Arnie sculpted statue am annoyed with its Blitzway,s end product quality . Mainly the scars and sweat. Missing realistic proto .:monkey3
Oh and I think I found the culprit for the huge scars:rotfl the scar painter or decal assistance must have seen this pic.mind it's not a very clear pic :lol

perhaps the smooth/flat paintjob has taken away any sign of texture, especially on the face:dunno, the slashes can be sorted with some artistic skill, unless blitzway make a 1/2 scale HAN to go with the giant bladed hand of course.:lol
even the hair is different.and the life in those eyes...can I have the one on the left please blitzway.

Blitzgate just goes on and on :D

Screw it, I'm all in .... I display statues on top of a 7foot high bookshelf with no lightning...the finer points of the paint job become completely irrelevant anyway...

theres a tad bit of shaky camera blur on that right pic that isn't helping

found an extreme closeup of the chin posted a while back, looks like it has some texture fwiw

also took one of the clearer pics couple pages back, blew up the face and sharpened just a bit to see if there's a difference... I'm bored atm :lol

Yeah, seeing the head sculpt blown up like that only reinforces to me the cartoony nature of the production piece. Yes there is some poring in the skin and some subtle shading but it feels not even close to the proto, nor the texturing on the GOD facial sculpt for that matter. In fact it looks a little boyish. Not the gaunt, ripped man we see in ETD or the proto. The hair is much too cropped and this is really affecting the look among the other things.

Its not a fair comparison. One is a high res macro shot taken with an SLR (which has been further enhanced in Photoshop), the other looks like it was taken with a phone.

The skin texture will be there when you see it in real life, it just won't be as pronounced as it is on the proto. That's always going to be the case with any figure.

Agreed it is not a fair comparison, photographically speaking.
I've no doubt there will be more detail when seeing it in-hand.
But the sculptural changes from the proto are affecting the face as much as any soft detailing in the texture.

Perhaps we should Photoshop our statue's when we get them. Blow the pics up to 1/3 scale then we can display them. Lol. Fair comparison or not. The differences are there. No denying that.
