been following this thread for a little while, but this is my first post asking some advice/help.

I recently got the B&W Beyond, but it has a few paint chips, it doesn't need to be repainted, it just needs to be retouched, I was wondering if you guys have any recommendations for what brand or kind of flat black I should get to retouch the piece.

Not sure if you got a reply from anyone on this. I know it's a hard to find so I don't know if touching it up would be acceptable. If the chips are very minor then i would leave it. If it bothers you, I would use some matte black for touch-ups. If you sell it, then I'd mention that it was touched up. It's not a big deal for most folks.

Well the clock is counting down on the release of the Sprang Batman and Joker statues. These are some of my most anticipated.

On a different topic, has anyone gotten their statues signed by the artists or sculptors?

Seems like it'll take some time till we see the Sprang statues. Saw this at SF, Michael Turner's in Dec. and the 2nd. editions in Jan.

BBTS just charged me for the Di*k Sprang statues. I ordered early so maybe I got in on an initial shipment. Anyway, can't wait to see them in person.

I don't know how they got pics - I don't think this has been announced yet. Considering how important color is to the new design of Batgirl, this seems like an odd choice. But I guess it does fit into the "artist specific" category that they're going for with this line.

My Sprang statues both came in last wednesday but I havnt had time to open them up until now. They both came out flawless. The Joker especially looks nice surrounded by the past Jokers weve gotten.

Not really. It's popular and made huge headlines when it was announced. It's popular now and DC strikes while the iron is hot. Remember in the early 90s when the Tim Burton Batman movie was all the rage and continued through that franchise, Batman changed to black suits throughout to match. DC has always gone with what is popular (then again Marvel is doing that now so...)

It doesn't surprise me in the least, although to be honest I prefer this to the New 52 Babs costume they had before.

My wife loves Barbara and loved this redesign. This will be my first Batman B&W purchase.

Opened my Di*k Sprang statues this morning. Absolutely love em! The paint apps are a little messy around where Batman's feet meet the base, but I can live with it.

I wondered if people prefer the companion piece or individual style releases? I think I'm indifferent, but I'm glad the Sprang statues came out together.

I missed out Batman Beyond when it was cheap, now the prices are absurd.

I have decided to get the re-releases (that I need) repainted, logo and base. That seems to be the only way to get the '1st editions' at a decent price.
