Happy New Year!

Here are the knock off Super Saiyan 3 Goku pictures. What do you think...

I may get it just for the extra head and aura pieces.

Well...that's certainly interesting. I assumed it was the Jacksdo SS3 head added to the new bootleg SS Goku body...didn't think this would turn out to be a completely new bootleg. It seems like the head may be better than the Jacksdo head as well. I mean the body is completely absurd but it may be worth getting just for the head and the effect parts. think I'll wait until someone else picks it up and shows it off before I consider it.

To be honest; That knock off SS3 Goku figure looks terrible.. however, the "Real" shfiguarts SS3 Goku, With that glossy finish, colors and guido skin tone looks more like a "knock off"/fake figure, than SS Vegeta Datong :lol

Who's the knock off here ? ;

I'm pretty okay with not having that SS3 Goku, or any SS3 Goku for that matter.

Well that's surprising! I thought it would def be the JacksDo head fo sho. Alas, this new bootleg will be ideal for customs, more likely a Raditz. Purchase the Datong Vegeta for the armor & it will be feasable

Happy new year everyone! I know why that ssj3 Goku looks weird: the waist is back to front. Judging by the elbow joints its a full copy like Datong Vegeta, not just a cheap one, but the issue I have is with the box. Its built to trick people so be careful in buying SSj3 Goku from now on folks.

lol good eye! didn't notice that until now

Either way I was right in my prediction that in the near future we will start to see displays that consist of nothing but near-identical bootlegs/knockoffs

Yeah, they didn't even put the character's name in Chinese this time. You'll have to look for the Bandai and Tamashii logos from now on.

Great photos MrPiccolo! I am jelly cuz I wanna post my photos but the display has yet to be completed.. I don't wanna post it at 90% lol

:offtopic:

So since these S.H. Figuarts take so damn long to be released, in the meantime I've been getting into the DC Multiverse line.. these 3 3/4-inch figures are greatly detailed, and blend in well with the Marvel Universe 3 3/4th figures (it's about damn time DC started to release some 3-inch figures, only because you can collect almost the entire Marvel Universe in that scale, and DC has a rich universe of characters as well but haven't been represented in any figure format aside from the 6-inch and above scale)

The 3 3/4 (or 3.75) inch scale is great, because they allow for vehicles to be made that are affordable & decently sized, and they don't take up a lot of real estate on your display. The batmobiles are 1:18 scale and are specifically made for these figures

Does anybody else collect these? There are also the "Infinite Heroes" DC line which aims to mimic the Marvel Universe 3.75 inch line in quantity, but honestly the quality of some characters could be better & they're actually a tad bit shorter than the Marvel figures, which is a shame. But just my opinion~

I feel the 3-3/4 inch scale has gone downhill as of recent years. You can see it in the figures above, pose-ability has been taken away, shoddy paint-jobs, etc. etc. Hasbro still does "OK" with that scale in their previous G.I. Joe lines, Star Wars, the Marvel Universe line, and the occasional Marvel movie lines. Mattel, I feel has not caught up, take a look at the limited joints on those figures above with the exception of the last one.

The last figure there is the Takara Microman Batman Begins figure. Strange body-structure mold (that follows the Microman line) but the poseability on the figure is exceptional and it also has a wire in the cloth cape. I owned one looong ago and since then the Microman line has been put on hiatus. They also made a Superman Returns figure, Supergirl, comic Superman and comic Batman so if you're looking for some heavily poseable 3.75" figures, look to see if you can find some left on eBay.

I agree, many of the figures are "hit or miss" in terms of poseability & paint. I only own Arkham Knight Batman & Robin. The Batman is awesomely detailed but I don't like the leg/pelvic joints at all. And the Robin figure has like a washed-out paintjob & a poor cape. But I plan on fixing these issues myself, my customized versions of these figures will be glorious! Honestly that's the only reason why I'm buying these figures, to "correct" them :wink1:

I also just ordered one of those Microman Batman figures, curious to see how it is in-hand!

The SSJ3 Knockoff isn't really that bad, not up to Datong standards but it's better than other knock off DBZ figures. Plus it is a good alternative to the real thing.

Now if only Tamashii knew about these :monkey3

Oh also, I don't like those smaller scale figures...that are under 4", it doesn't allow for a lot of detail or anything and can be a bit over priced. I don't get the appeal either unlike 5"-7".

I guess it's an acquired taste :lol it can go either way though, there's also many larger-scaled figures that for whatever reason lack detail & look nothing like their comic book/animated counterparts. Hopefully I can change your mind when I unveil my Batman series of figures ;D

After getting the NECA Keaton Batman and Mafex Bale Batman (Baleman?) I doubt it. :lol

They're pretty awesome! Their poseability is great and they do come with lots of little accessories. Their quality can be "iffy" though, but other than that, I loved them. I also had some from their AVP line, mainly the Predators.
