Ah ok....I got the second batch...I guess that's why I didn't see any issues with mines

The Mark 42 color scheme is so much better. Of course it's just my opinion. Maybe i will change my mind when the movie hits the theatres

I don't know how to do the spoiler tag thing..can someone tell me?

As for legally aloud to say....I am not working on that film. Unfortunately. But I've been on a few sets and have an in with a few people. So I've heard and seen some stuff. Stuff I know that has been told to journalist and bloggers so it's not something top secret, though it hasn't leaked that I've seen. It's not a huge plot point and it gets explained very quick. I would never spoil a big plot twist or say anything that could hurt the movie or anything. Bad business that. And with the suit actually being shown in sure this info come out soon anyway.

Also, no offense to this forum, but it's not mass market. And people here are not casual fans. Most of us are hardcore nerds/geeks (though that's kinda cool these days). So no harm. Plus, half the folks won't believe me anyway. So no damage. Lol

Just highlight the part you want to spoiler tag then go up to the yellow circle spoilers emblem and click it.

Broken shoulder pad issues in first batches.

And also the groin articulation does not looks good to me but I don't think they'll change it.

They did make changes/upgrades....is probably all hard plastic pelvis now... as posted by asianvenusian on OSW:

Very minor stuff then but any difference is a good thing I think..., it means it's not just a straight forward repaint at least. :)

If they release this figure, with the exact same problems as the 43, without addressing any of them..... then I am done with Hot Toys

Having just picked up a MK42 for a bit of a bargin price I think I'll be passing on the repaint, I really like the IronMan figures but I personally like to have physically different armours in my display rather than repaints, stiill a great figure for the completists.

This reminds me of how they released the "Avengers" Mark VI at the beginning of the Avengers line.

Hot Toys have started revealing Age Of Ultron figures?

MIGHT get this one...

Lets see if we can spot the inaccuracy :lol
aaaa.jpg

first thing that jumps out is the shoulders :ohbfrank: and that screenshot is from the trailer. So Hot Toys must have said "oh well, I guess the 43 is basically the 42 with reversed colors", instead of actually researching the armor(like watching the trailer once) and realizing its not exactly the same

The manufacturers receive approved reference material from the licensee that they use to create prototypes. They don't make these things from looking at movie trailers. It could easily be a situation of the reference material provided was early and the suit was modified after it was sent.

This is the reason none of the toy manufacturers with the Iron Man 2 license produced a Whiplash MK2 at the time of the movie's release. Marvel Studios didn't provide reference material due to the last minute changes to the end of the movie and inclusion of the new armor.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys - MMS - Avengers: AOU - Iron Man Mark 43 (Reveal + PO Next Week)

I think the Mark 42 gold color scheme works better with this suit's design. I really do like the look of 43...but almost in spite of myself, I like the 42 better than a lot of the dominant Red with Gold armors. With the design of the M42, the Gold leads my eye easily throughout the whole suit, giving is sleeker look (rather then the Red on the 43). If this turns out to be the same exact mold, it would be interesting to mix and match parts just for the fun of it.

could not agree more! I feel the dominant red looks forced in this design. I would have loved to see a design similar to the extremis armor instead
