Decisions, decisions......dont know if I should PO this one or get the DX05 (Im not a multi-version collector) Based on the pics which do you guys think is better? Im thinking maybe just getting the DX and trying to score the SSC head sculpt later.

Well, you already know what you are getting with the DX5, unlike the SS Indy. Does it make a difference to wait until next year to buy the DX5? That way you can make the decision once you see the SS final product. If I buy the SS, I'll buy it because of the head sculpt, because the DX5 body, clothes, shoes, diorama set, and accessories are pretty awesome.

The way people treat P.O.'s these days is going to make SSC begin charging NRD's on every item. SSC's business model has to be in flux as so many things have changed drastically versus what they seem to have been at the start years ago - prices, PO-to-ship time, competition, perception of SSC, consumer expectation... You really have to wonder what use PO numbers are for SSC any more.

This looks great but the machete/sword seems too short. The knee joint will never be visible under normal lighting.

The Sideshow site seemed really slow when I tried to order, so will have to go back to place the PO.

Kinda makes a diff, I need to fill up some shelf space (I only have 3 figs not including the 3 other pre orders I have coming the following year. So I guess Ill try to score the dx at a decent price then sell or keep depending on the final SSC product.

We all want the clean head sculpt & jacket. SSC knows this. Once this comes out, they'll release a Raiders version with all that and more...

The more I look at this, the more I like it. Just needs a little wash to the clothes to make it more used looking. Hot Toys Bespin Luke had the same problem.

Well without the torn clothes he's pretty much just... Raiders Indy.

I do agree though it would have been nice to have the option to turn him into "cleaned up" Raiders version (or even throw in a tie for the LC version), but it obviously would have added a lot more to the cost of the figure. And I think $220 is already high enough as it is.

Well I preordered to show I'm eager. But with a parts bin full of Indy gear, I'm not sure another whole figure is what I need.

Looks good to me. I'm going to pre-order it I think. My only complaint is the lack of jacket. Plus I don't know if I consider this a definitive Indy and would prefer if it wasn't battle damaged. I still overall like how it looks though.

Ordered! Hopefully sideshow realise they have a year to 'tweak' this guy and see their error of not including a jacket. He's damn close though!
