I like the simpleness of Tatooine. Remember when the SEs showed us all those worldly celebrations and the architecture orgasm that is/was Coruscant? Too much... I don't need to see worlds and cities with 1,000 ships and star cruisers on the screen at the same time. It was overkill and killed the magic. Why put a couple of cruisers in a scene when with our neat, nifty graphics program we can put 500 of them in....of course they'd all crash into each other but it sure looks cool...LOL

I think Coruscant is one of those places that is better left to the imagination. Shown in the films it looked like every other "sci-fi/flying car" city to me - ala Fifth Element, Blade Runner etc. Though Blade Runner - going heavily Asian - had a more unique flavor.

I found the random sampling of scenes pieced together to be overall underwhelming. I LOVED the X-Wings and Falcon bits. I even sort of like the soccer ball droid for some reason. My expectations for this movie have plummeted after seeing this. Do we know if the Rebels are still rebels or are they a New Republic/Galactic Alliance now? Are these stormies Imperial as in the Galactic Empire dominates the galaxy still, Imperial as in an Imperial Remnant type faction, Imperial as in a new Empire is being founded by the villains, or are they good guys like clones? I don't mind being spoiled on how they fit into the narrative if anyone has the rumored answer to that question. Thanks!

It is a question that has popped up from this trailer - the guys in white armor were bad in the classic trilogy, then good guys in PT (that turned bad) but are rebels the rebels and are the guys in white armor bad again in this sequel trilogy?

I'm assuming if the black actor in the stormie armor is a hero, then he's a bad stormie turned hero.

Who's that? A young Danny Glover?

'I'm still too young for this ****!'

With remnants of the Empire still hanging round it'll be interesting to see how much of the storyline is borrowed from Heir to the Empire, Dark Empire etc. I'd be down with the return of a cloned Emperor.

Yes that Falcon shot at the end glorious fantastic, some need to get a grip it's a teaser not the "trailer..and that's what it did tease. all I wanted to see was Han Solo and a shrewd move by them showing no original cast members..this feels and looks like star wars not the video game prequels.

This did the job well and wet the appetite for more. If you didn't love that Falcon shot then are you really a fan?

The link's I clicked on said It was a trailer and most media outlets are calling it a trailer, that's the only reason I brought it up that it felt more like a teaser.

The special effects are a lot better then the prequels Lucas did, his prequels green screens made everything to sterile looking... another words fake... I think this movie will be a home run... Also keep in mind they sometimes throw stuff in a teaser that's not even in the movie...

Let's hope Boyega hiding under the camera and playing peek-a-boo is one of them

Much better. Less dizzying.

After my 7,642nd viewing i am just now noticing a probe droid after Boyega's character (you can hear it) How did i miss that?

I actually got more excited after seeing the trailer. I had no idea what to expect with this new trilogy and while I did enjoy the new Star Trek films, I was still trying to figure out just how much I even cared about this return to Star Wars. Seeing the new trailer, getting a feel for the tone, discovering that they're pushing the vintage feel of it (which I love), all of these things got me pumped. The whole thing, showing us brief clips of simple but powerful imagery, teased the direction they're going without giving any plot points away -- as a good teaser should. I get the sense that the story, whatever it is, is on the move. Things are happening. There's a sense of action just on the horizon, like there's a situation about to come to a head.

And I'll say it again, because it's all kinds of awesome to me: the vintage look is GLORIOUS. I'm so glad they're pushing for more of an OT aesthetic with some new tricks thrown in. I was expecting something more PT-ish, which is probably why I wasn't too stoked for the trilogy when I first heard about it. It never occurred to me that they'd try to channel the old films. Now that I know, I'm officially looking forward to next December.
