I gotta say the double rewards on a piece that's only been in stock a few weeks is a massive slap in the face to people who pre order....
That's exactly how I felt when I ordered mine :(

I did it! Went ahead and placed my PO and took advantage of double rewards. Been checking this out for a while. While I'm not crazy about Iron Man 3 or the mark 42 I do think this bust is a really good depiction. The shoulders and metal details add a nice touch. $100 rewards...check

I think the best thing about this particular bust is that it doesn't really show how bad the rest of the armor is from the arc reactor down. The Mark 42 is probably the only armor that needs to be shown in bust form only as the rest of it looks awful.

Yep the bust stops where the **** starts lol

Broke down and ordered it. I was going to make my move once in-hand pics showed up, but I decided to go for it anyway.

$100 in rewards is too good to pass up and I have faith it'll turn out well.

FYI - My final Flex payment for the IM 42 1:1 bust just got backed up to March 5, 2015- it previously was January 5, 2014.

Given the number of delays of other SSC IM 1:1 busts in the past, I'm guessing mid to late 2015 to actually get this in hand

Maybe SS is taking note of all the hell that's being raised about the poor paint quality and lack of Arc Reactor details on the Mark VII 1:2 LSF and they're actually pushing this bust back to make it accurate.

Nah, who am I kidding?

Yeah, that's not happening. In fact, that was pretty much exactly what SS Alex said when the Mk 6 bust got delayed an extra year - that SSC was taking the time to make sure it was stellar - and that pos released with an upside down arc reactor, right fist bigger than it's head, and tons of QC drama.

Is there not a thread for the comic version Invincible Iron Man Life Size Bust? Can't find it in search, no YouTube reviews or anything either. Not much on it at all on YouTube actually. Most people prefer the movie versions to it though? Cause thats hard to believe.

I am considering buying this statue but was wondering if this statue has ever been displayed any were or are there any pictures other then whats on SS website.

Thought you were done with Sideshow? :lol

In the US there are no other companies to buy from. + i'm talking with sideshow to see how they are going to compensate me for the past 6 statue defects. If they are willing to work with me then i'll consider buying it. + whats the worst that happens i return it 3 times again

I'm curious...

Visually, this piece looks amazing. Never bought a 1:1 IM bust before and was wondering what material are used in those... Plastic? Polystone? Metal?

I think fiberglass and polystone i could be wrong though. I do not know of any statue that has real metal in it.
