This was the scene last night during the Simply Toys preorder.

Basically, people here are saying that XM shouldn't allow people like Mark, Kenny and the others to have their own allocated quantity because they are not "retailers" with a physical shop? Seriously?

nope , wasnt interested in this ., waiting for Ms Marvel reveal , DD , SPider-Man ,SHe Hulk.. Im not too inclined towards backdoor deals, what if the shipment goes missing, gets damaged real badly, i dont want to keep bothering the person who helped me out,
I would prefer to order from Simply Toys, but I tried to see how it would work out if i was ordering on Simply Toys and I never even got a chance to add it to my cart,
so it looks like my route will be these backdoor deals which i dont wanna do

exactly i also prefer direct orders from retailer or XM

actually as i mentioned on FB i dont have problem with Mark, Kenny coz they r helping collectors from overseas due to license restrictions. my problem is why allow a member who bought 5 why a such policy this way how come new member will be with 5 orders. also does members count who order through mark kenny?

Most of XM statues don't sell out in less then an hour.... Wolverine was up for sale on Simple Toys site for about 5-6 hours before it sold out so anyone who really wanted one could of easily bought one, those who sat on the fence procrastinating missed out. Ant-Man is still up for sale, so is Hawkeye.... I know a few places who still have Hulk and Black Widow up for sale, although I don't think there are many left. Thanos might go fast but I don't see Iron Man VII or Ms. Marvel selling out quickly, not like Phoenix or Magneto. Thor is a toss up, but since there are so many Thor statues out there I really don't see this one selling out fast either, It will probably be like Wolverine where you'll have 6-7 hours to buy it...

Statues like Phoenix and Magneto are rare in the sense that they are popular characters that nobody has done 1:4 scale of, plus their bases were pretty awesome which made them even more popular.... These are the rare statues that sell out in less then an hour. They're more the exception then the rule.

Man, SS business is affected because of their products/QC/and questionable business practices. Leave XM out of this talk.

Kenny and Mark are official XM distributors please don't mix it up with "friends". As for friends, the XM guys been in business for many years, they were small business relying friends repeat business, if those friends who have supported them many years walk in and want a couple Phoenix. I won't fault them for selling it to them. Rather than selling to people who decided oh I want this ONE beautiful statue, if I don't have it I am going to call for your license getting cancelled. What they could possibly improve on is announce the % of the ES that they are allocating for direct sale (ones that their friends/elite members can buy from).

In the end, it really doesn't matter, most of us can't buy direct. I for one am grateful there are ways to get their products.

That's good idea, all it takes is for XM to take credit card, then anyone can do it.

Thanos is going to sell out last as well. Not Phoenix fast but within an hour I'd say at east. There is no other Thanos out their in 1/4 scale, these are many switch out options, he will be staring in upcoming big movies, and he is a badass. Try and lock one up now or play the Feud.

I think I can elaborate , I'm willing to buy Stanos statues worth $10000. Then I will resell them immediately for full retail and a 10% to 20% mark up. I have friends living in Singapore who can approach XM Studios directly if I wish so. Would that be acceptable?

My feedback on Ebay is almost 300 with 100% and that's since 2003. Your statue will ship for exact cost directly from Singapore. Is that acceptable? Heck if required I'll make it $20000. That's a much better return than what any bank can give me for my money. For $10000 I should be able to preorder 50 statues.

You do realize they can only sell to their licensed area and it's a lot smaller then North America.... The backdoor deals is pretty much the only way for people outside their licensed area to get the statues. If XM had a sign up sheet for the first 1000 people they would all have to have valid address within their licensed area, which means the ONLY way for us living outside the license areas would be to buy from flippers on that 1000 person list at probably 3x the prices.... that would really suck...

Lol. Get it in the cart! I never got the site to come up until it was sold out.

I don't mind the backdoor deal at all. So far so good with the two mwmbers here that have been helping us. Hell they did not even mark up 10% for the statues I locked down with them. I am full of gratitude towards them.

The peeps that are marking up crazy prices can go right ahead because I just won't solicit from them and it will be a statue that I want but don't have.

Really? They are getting a renegotiated contract?

I have Cap already and six locked (Mag, Wolvie, Phoenix, Hawkeye, Thanos and Thor.) Just waiting for Brown Wolverine and hopefully a Gambit and Colossus! That's all I am interested in at the moment.

So wait, is the argument that xx poster didn't get one from Simplytoys because too many are given out to "friends" of the company? Well for one, a company can sell to whoever they please within their licensing area. And also, I'm extremely confident saying that Simplytoys probably gets more than their fair share of XM statues to sell. If you couldn't get one, that's just the name of the game. Sideshow was the same way, fair or not.

It was really fun reading all post during PO time.

This is nothing, you should of saw the rage going on back when Magneto sold out in like 30 mins lol, people were going nuts.... Everyone thought they would have time to look around and see who had the best price.... and then BAM sold out everywhere... then when the package deals started coming out from ST and other authorized stores it got really crazy in here... so much so a Simple Toy Rep had to come into the forums and try and calm everyone down lol
