The box is nice and slim - a cloth cape really makes a difference in box size and shippingweight.

The figure itself is remarkably light too.

I have to admit the paint is a bit shiny. But the costume is great -

The paint looks pretty bad, while the sculpt on its own isn't that bad.

Dave's pic with comic Superman and MoS Superman kinda shows how bad the paint is too, the comic one is great. Not sure what happened with the MoS one

I don't think the paint's that bad. I may hit it with a matte spray though.

Great photos! I was super excited until I saw the side-by-side... Somewhat let down by the size differential -- looks like 1/6th with the tiny base. Regardless, looking great with the sculpt, even in spite of the glossy paint. Thanks for posting!

I think he looks pretty good. But he does look pretty tiny next to comic Supes. The new giant bases that some of SS's pieces have really do add more presence to the piece.

UGH !!!!!!! I'm so disappointed, I really wanted this statue too and here we are with another butchered face.... At least I was able to see these pictures before they shipped so I could cancel mine....

And what's up with the giraffe neck... Just seems like every SS statue keeps getting worse and worse... T-800, Red Sonja and now MOS.... this sucks..

Man...not happy with it. I would say the outfit is a 9/10, the paint is a 4/10 and the sculpt looks like a 4/10...

When I looked at the flash pics this morning I thought "good Lord". Then the pics without flash looked great. Seeing Dave's pics this morning show a pretty much standard painting which is what we should expect from a sideshow factory made piece. He doesn't have the texture and shading of the proto but I knew that, I was just worried it would be sloppy apps or cross eyed etc. He's a little shiny but a matte coat may help with that as suggested. I love the Base, the suit and I still live the sculpt. I see Cavill in it so I'm staying on course and I'm excited about the delivery of mine. Saying that, mine will probably be the sloppy apps and cross eyed version...
