Just received the 89 Sakai X-plus. I'm happy with the purchase, despite my initial skepticism (it's my first vinyl model!)
The paint app is great, and I like how the eyes glisten in the light-- talk about film accuracy, that was something I liked very much in the movie. The only gripe I have is the teeth, which don't really have much definition. Overall, *thumbs up*

At first I felt something was off with the stance. It didn't really look right with the right foot slightly off the floor. And then I noticed one of heels was up, as if he were about to take a step. Then I realized he might be meant to be elevated a little (which is common in resin kits especially those by Sakai).

You know I think you're right, I'm going to have mine step off a cliff.

I like the face but his pose does scream out like he's a dainty boy about to step on a spider, like ewwwww with his hands the way they are posed though (sakai 89)
EDIT: it also looks like he's in a swimming pool up to his waist and he is walking very slowly XD

Apparently I accidentally unbookmarked the thread, I just didn't think there were updates until I went to post about NECA '54. Amazing looking figure, must buy for me, be awesome to have such a nice, articulated figure of that suit.

'89 Godzilla has one of the best profiles ever, I love how '95 when back to the largest spines being right behind the shoulder with very small ones leding to it just like the '89 suit, make his profile look so powerful.
