Liked this Ant Man from the of but this is now amazing
I've given up on trying to choose my favourite XM piece. I'm just enjoying each one for what it is now

Exactly. I was selling some ebay stuff this week and when I went to the outdoor storage to get the boxes I found termites. They went to town. Most of the stuff was fine but they went to town on my newest boxes. Superman, batman and apocalypse. ..errrHahaha! Don't forget we still have to store the boxes too.

The whole thing looks great but I'm just not enough of a fan of Ant-Man to spend the $$ on this one. I'd rather just have the mini-me statue to be honest--way more impressive to me than the big figure.

I decided I had to have him for my Avengers display. With the movie coming out I am sure I will enjoy him that much more. After seeing homerun after homerun I really would like to see what they could do with the DC universe!! My wallet wouldn't but I would.

That statement is definitely true for me too.
As it stands now I already have 12 PO's that will be in hand within 6 months time, 11 of them 1/4 scale.
All those giant shippers to store.

Yup, I was so upset I put them in the storage but whereas am I supposed to keep about 30 PF boxes plus lego boxes and boxes from CS Moore and Master Replicas and DC collectibles and ....

Diamond Select released a Marvel Milestones Hawkeye statue just like the pic above. It has Ant Man laying on top of an arrow and Hawkeye drawing it back to fire it. It's based off the classic Avengers # 223 cover. It's totally bad ass but it's only in 1/6 scale. You guys are right, something like this in 1/4 scale would look AWESOME.

Wish XM would offer just the smaller stat with the ants. Kinda have in my mind a whole swarm of ants together with that stat as a nice display. Still a great looking stat though. Will just be passing on it so I don't get hooked into completing the avengers line as well.

Yeah I really don't need the big one. I would b very happy with an option to buy just the small one riding the ant

So you guys would rather pay $500 for just the smaller Ant-Man and Ants instead of $700 for two statues in one? I'm not seeing the logic here.
The way the statue and base is constructed...it works best with the AM at full size. You have the choice to display however you'd like.
I guess I understand somewhat from a space eating point of view...but that really is negligible. The main thing would have to be a character some of you don't really care for. That I can understand wholeheartedly.
It just sounds like some of you want it...but only the small AM....which you would get if you buy the statue.
Oh well....you all can live through us that do buy it.

I don't know where $500 came from for the smaller piece but whatever. I think the smaller Ant-Man is more dynamic than the larger statue and is an awesome representation of the character. The larger piece is Ant-Man just standing there--nice sculpt but not overly impressive IMO. I know that any sort of criticism of XM is blasphemy but not every statue is worth the price tag to every collector. I'll be happy to see the in-hand pics from the people getting this one--it's just not an XM statue I'm interested in as a whole.

These two are going to be posed together on the same base. Kind of like the Bowen designs concept. And I totally get where alot of peeps are coming from. Most people have to love an XM statue to justify the price. Wanting just the little one isn't blasphemy. It's economical. I just love to piss away money and I'm going for the entire line so yeah.... Anything xm makes I'm pretty much on board for. Your not crazy for loving this statue but your also not Nuts for not wanting to spend the money on Antman. Just my thoughts
