I have seen this on Star Wars figures. It's the chemical reaction of the plastics and paint.

I also noticed it on the black Firefly head thats been in the parts pin and Cobra Snipers head.

According to Nam it was just Dust

while the exact same things happened to my black Firefly head aswell which is stored away from Dust

just wipe it off....its suppose to be the powder thats used in the plastics to help removing from the Steel Molds

This problem concerns me a lot considering I have to clean up my storm shadow, firefly, cobra soldiers, stalker, and the list goes on. It's the plastic/rubber they use. HT actually uses a different kind, which doesn't have this happen. The one thing HT does correctly.....

not in my case...climate controlled here

I have only had to wipe off the white from Stalker and Firefly once

its the crap (Corn powder) the toy industry uses in the Steel molds and the plastic leaks it after a while..

Looks fantastic Buddy, love the choice of body and the fact you painted the hair on, looks more like stalker that way then the chaved look sideshow gave us. Great futzing to, you bloused those trousers nicely, bravo

Edit: just realized that's the head that comes with the kp body

Yep it's KP's head and body with Stalker's costume/gear and some additional pouches thrown on. The blouse on the trousers is just an inverted cuff, simple and easy to achieve.

That Stalker figure looks awesome. I know people who have had issues with the powder on their figure. This looks like a great solution.

The original head I have has the powder issue. regardless, I always planed on replacing the head with a more realistic sculpt since I didn't like the original. But as always, I like the original more in hand then I thought I would.

Sorry to necro this thread but I just got a SSC Stalker, he had the issue with the white powder in the head but it washed off with hand soap. Can anyone tell me, does his uniform (shirt and trousers) have a weathered effect? Mine has some white faded sections especially on the X shaped stitching on the knees but they're not worn, I don't think the figure was even removed from the box previous to me owning it!

Nah, Terry's in the background as Roadblock on the Heroik body from Kaustik. This is just a random head from Kaustik's Athletik body. I feel it captures the spirt of Stalker more than the Sideshow head.

The Kaustic head looks far more like Carl Weathers than Crews. Perfect for Stalker.
