That's true old school. It sucks that Atari and Sega aren't still around as a next gen system. They always had some great games back in the day.

Yea man. It was like, Atari 2600, Intellivision, Colecovision, Sega Genesis, PS1.

See it is like toys. We found satisfaction in the simplicity of what we were given as it was more than we had.

These days, children and people alike are spoiled that they cannot appreciate simplicity.

I had NES, Turbo Grafx, and Sega Genesis as a younger kid. Then N64 and PS1. After that it was PS2, Dreamcast, and GameCube. I got a WII and a PS3 after that and that's where I'm at now. That's my video game biography.

The first system I ever owned was a PS1. Bought it from a friend who bought it a year or so after release when he needed money for something else. Never had a Nintendo, although I borrowed a friend's for "a week" which turned into a couple months. :lol My family had an Atari, but didn't have many games for it.
After the PS1, I got a Dreamcast on the cheap, and the PS2... then a PSP, then PS3, then an Xbox 360 on the cheap a couple years ago on black Friday. Then a friend sent me a Nintendo DS as a gift in an exchange and two weeks ago my friend gave me an NES with gun controller. :) Don't really need it though as I have the entire NES game catalog on a disc I can play on my Dreamcast... over 5,000 games!
So there's my history. I also have a Mortal Kombat II arcade machine. :D
I've also picked up cheap systems from friends etc. as back ups or for other rooms in the house... so I have
PS1 x2 (maybe 3?)
PS1 with attached screen x1
PS2 x 1
PSP x 1
PS3 x 2 (one is backward compatable, one is not)
Dreamcast x2 (one that plays burned games and one that doesn't)
Xbox 360 x2
NES x1
Nintendo DS x1

I think that's it. And I have a crap ton of games. Need more time to play them!

Holy hell! At least you got it before it got you, the wife or the pooch. Thank goodness!!

It was. I have many fond memories of staying home sick at my grandma's house and playing Legendary Axe on Turbo Grafx.

I love snakes, but I'm glad you got it so your wife and dog didn't get hurt.

When I started rebuying old systems a year or so ago, I never got around to this one even though I made a game list. I may need to get one of these eventually.

That's a lot of systems! I've had quite a few over my life as well:

NES
SNES
Genesis
PS2
PS3 x2
Gameboy
Gameboy Advanced x2
Nintendo DS x2
PSP
Wii

If you have any NES games you wanna get rid of, lmk.
