That opposes the statement of purpose of this forum, specifically it's main goal:
"Our main goal is to cultivate a deep sense of community within the entertainment memorabilia community and between fans and artists, manufacturers and distributors of collectibles."
Why are you two so entrenched in the idea of not being a community all of a sudden?

I think it's a great idea, and you could also do it with Sideshow threads, just put them all In one big thread then it would be easy to find stuff since there would only be two topics in here
Here's a better idea let the mods do the moderating, if they feel XM threads shouldn't be on here let them say so.... It's getting a bit old having people who are not moderators acting like one..

Oh I am not, I just see the benefit of it as a measure for concentrating the info. I know that right now over at SF you can get a lot more info from Bryan, Mark, and even Erick Sosa very quickly. It just seems more efficient for all involved. In the end I just see the value in the suggestion is all.

Actually JAW's idea was to have a dedicated subforum, not a single thread. So you would go to XM section similar to the way you go to the DC or Marvel sections, and all the threads would be there. If you are going to get worked up to go against an idea at least know what idea you are getting worked up against. I am not really modding here I am just saying that a lot of the XM faithful, and after really talking to the guys I am there too, want to make a fight out of a simple practical suggestion, and that hackles up type of discussion isn't necessary, and neither are some of the insults flying around.

I doubt they will make a section for XM. The mods already made a big deal about having all these XM threads... they even made me take down my "XM Online dealers list" thread from my signature. Ink even mentioned that we shouldn't be surprised if they scrapped all the XM threads one day.
Ain't gonna happen.
I'm at the point now it just makes more sense to hang out at Statue Forum then here... If Ink wants less traffic so be it..
Besides XM is sponsoring Statue Forum now so they got their own section...

Holy ****! In 24 hours this thread went from 1 page to 15 pages. Just because there was 18 XM threads dominating the first page. The only result I can see from this is another XM thread.

Yeah, that's been brought up a lot wrt to HT and apparently the out of sight/out of mind mentality was shot down.
Anyway, this forum has not 1, not 2, but 3 built in functions that will alleviate the issue brought forward by the OP:
1) 'Search' function
2) 'Page 2,3, etc' function
3) Thread Tools -> Subscribe to thread of interest. Quick Links -> Subscribed Threads
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the Darklord has better things to do with his time than overhaul this entire website b/c a few users are too lazy to use the features already at their disposal. But hey, I've been wrong before and I may be wrong again.
You could still have that sense of community... Why does XM having it's own section alienate you??
Having said that.... I did say a few post above that until I made this thread I was unaware of the show the XM had and did not realize that there was actual product photos... But the place just blew up with XM and it looked like it was going to keep coming and never end... Skipping one page to read about SS products is one thing... skipping 2 or 3 was going to be another.... I initially stopped going into some of the XM threads because I grew tired of some of the arguing that went on in there. So that is my bad if that sort of thing has stopped and people are focused more on the product. However I still don't see the harm in having it's own section but that seems to be a sore spot for some...
I think some.... Not all... Are enjoying seeing SSC get pushed out of it's own thread and that it validates their feelings towards the company. At least that is the only reason I can think of for people being upset...
If SSF want to create it's own Hulk thread... I would not care in the least... In fact I would love it. I would set it as my home page

SSC has way more and more variety... wouldn't work. Having said that... I am not sure I see anyone who is not a mod trying to act like one.

I already stated that if that change was made I'd roll with it, I just don't see a need to make this forum like the other one because you don't want to use the tools you're provided to get the experience you want.

1. Don't want to have to search every time I want to read a thread about a SSC product on the SSF board.
2. Don't feel that scrolling down and going to page 2 or 3 is needed on a forum dedicated to SSC products... Not when another section could be created and nobody would care.
3. Don't want to have to subscribe to all the post I am interested in... When I can just scroll around and look into the thread... Just because I don't post there does not mean I don't read there.
As far as being Lazy... Again I point out the insults and poor manners by the pro XM posters. All I have said is that it would be nice to have it organized and easier to navigate. Never insulted anyone who likes XM or XM the company.
Like I said.. I think there are some who get a kick out of seeing XM dominate the Marvel forum... Why else would anyone care if it had it's own section??? What harm would it cause??? If you want to make the Hot toys "It's never going to happen" argument then that is one thing... But some of the responses have been childish at best.

That's cool... I like XM also.. I visited the Wolverine and Magneto thread several times back when the first came up... Would still visit all of them if they had their own section... In fact it would be easier down the road to look at some of those threads after they become less popular (the threads not the company or it's product.)

Apparently you feel XM would fail if it had it's own section... or that you would somehow get lost trying to find it... Because you have yet to make a good reason for it not to have it's own thread other then... "You can use the search tools provided to you"
