Originals will most always trump reboots, but as a fan of the concept and characters, I can appreciate that we are in a time where my childhood favorites are back on the big screen
Going to take the kids to see the tmnt reboot tomorrow
Probably going to get flamed if I enjoy any part of it

Well, I think another week is safely passing by with nothing to show for the Robo figure. We should all expect a late September reveal for this thing as clearly HT are in absolutely no rush and prior evidence points to that (final payments etc). Dare I say, even October (hope not!).

My guess is because they wanted him to resemble the colour of cop shirts.

Probably to differentiate the second movie from the first. Whether it was Kershner's call, or Miller's, whoever made the decision wanted to put their stamp on the franchise.
