Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

Hope they don't push the release back further at the last minute, I'm looking forward to the last payment and getting this in hand!

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

My wait list just converted, but I cancelled. Cannot justify the price with those glaring errors in the sculpt.

I figured if everything by some miracle is corrected in the final version I can always pickup the regular version. The ex accessories is nothing special at all in this case.

Gotta think logically.

Keeping mine and really excited about it. Looks great to me, and every one of our friends who I showed it to, knew right away which predator it was. So yes, has inaccuracies, but unmistakably recognizable. Well, at least to most :)

I'm with you, can't wait to get this.

Damn.. Its so soon hopefully no delays.. This is really gonna be epic. Couldnt believe he is 28.5inches tall let alone the crazy details..

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

I really love the pose. Wish they had gone with the typical building base. But otherwise I'm not that picky.

Yea, right there with you. Did the same thing when mine converted. As much as it hurt I still think it was the right choice.
Waiting for inhand pictures and picking up the Reg, if it's a well executed piece, is the wise thing to do...
For International customers.

Can't you guys just return it if there's issues?

I don't think so. They would want to see problems beyond the poor design sculpt and usual worse than proto paint this will have. Just decided not to risk it and the EX is not how I would display him anyway.

Unfortunately we know nothing will be changed on the production pieces. Given the high cost of this, you probably made the right choice if you aren't happy. That is probably hypocritical of me given that I was one of the most vocally disappointed about some aspects of this guy and ordered anyway. I just love the P2 and had a bit of spare change, figured if I got the EX and gave it a chance in person I should at least be able to make back what I paid if I decide to move it on down the line, this may be a false assumption but that is the risk we all take with these things. Ultimately I'll be happy if this turns up in one piece looking as close to the prototype as possible as I have already come to terms with the fact that there will be no changes. The flip side is it's also entirely possible that this thing will blow us away in person given his size and detail etc and that is what I am hoping for, pictures sometimes exaggerate things. I have said it many times now and I'll stand by it, the head area is poor in general, no denying it, but over all this is actually a really nice looking P2 indeed if you can ignore that and the smallish spear. The base is random with it's teeth but I've given up caring about that, although it would have been nice if the two skulls are removable. Just the bio and the dreads that bother me personally, if the rest is as advertised I'll be very happy indeed.

While I am incredibly picky when it comes to Predators and I'm not overly thrilled with some aspects of this one, I agree that the pose is really nice, excellent in fact!! It is one of the main reasons I bit the bullet and ordered.

Well if you're wanting a 1/4 scale Predator this will be it for possibly 2yrs at best from SS. Nothing was at SDCC and SS said we won't see anything technically "New" for a good while since they will be busy with doing preorders for what's already been shown.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

Sideshow knew they made a mistake with this one, but rather than fixing the inaccuracies, it's much easier to just apply a lower ES on the Exclusive. What we are looking at now is what we'll be getting.
Just my theory, of course. I'd gladly like to be proven wrong on this.
