That's my point, you guys are defending the high ES #'s and yet you want exclusive stuff nobody else can have.... I do believe the word is hypocrite :) If SS is going to go with high ES's then they should remove numbering form statues and get rid of the EX and allow everyone to have the same thing...

Then what reason does anyone have to buy direct? None. It's much more cost effective to buy a reg from an online retailer at a discount. This keeps profits in house at Sideshow and maximizes their ability to fund new products and licenses. I see your point, coming from a customer perspective, but as a buyer who wants the company to continue moving forward and getting new things and making different procducts I'll keep ordering exclusives through Sideshow, but you're welcome to order Regs. from where ever you like.

Probably because you jumped in halfway through the argument about Edition Sizes... People saying large edition sizes are great because everyone can get the statue, yet the same people want statues with exclusive stuff nobody else can have, you don't see a contradiction in that argument?

I'm just in one of my Argumentative moods tonight :)

It's not just about getting what no one else can have, as a matter of fact that's a pretty weak argument considering the ES size of most of these pieces. If anything all you're getting is an extra goodie for ordering direct, the same as 3 to 4 thousand others are doing. On certain Items I can see where the EX is something that people would really want, but lately, not so much. But you can't deny it's effectiveness as a marketing tool to keep sales in house.

Oh, the ES debate again. I was wondering when it would come up again.

You act like they give away their statues to 3rd party vendors.... From what I've been told SS doesn't give these vendors a very big discount that's why they all sell it for the same price SS does, so SS makes good money from selling to 3rd party vendors... If SS wanted to keep people at their website they could easily do it by selling their statues for 10% less then everyone else... there's better ways of doing this then exclusives and penalizing the person who comes late to the party

Again, maximizing profits. Sideshow gives retailers, if I remember correctly 30% off retail, and as a Sideshow Dealer you sign a contract that states you will not sell any item at a discount above 15% or you're dealer agreement will be revoked. This keeps the dealers from undercutting too much and allows Sideshow to maximize their profits from online sales.

The only special limited edition things that come with XM pieces are the coins, but they are rather random? Now please quit asking the same questions over and over. You have had these questions answered for you 6-10 times. If you continue to do so you will only prove what some people have said about you. That you are Trolling.

For XM so far there have been no EX feature like extra switch out parts etc. So far the only thing one might consider as an EX from xm is that for those that order early enough, they will get an extra coin coin of the character. From what i have seen all statues come with all switch outs and art print, BUT not all get a coin. Hope that helps :)

Ah that clears things up. So there's no ex but a coin randomly inserted in boxes. So it's the luck of the draw for a coin. But just to confirm there's no more than 800 of these being made world wide correct?

Apparently you need lasik eye surgery AND some glasses!

That would be YOU that requires the eye surgery. The latest pictures corrected that issue and this piece is now near perfect! Whether the original issue was due to poor lighting or the actual paint application, the important thing is that the issue is now non-existent. :)

SS didn't have competition years ago. They can set ES, exclusive. People will buy. Times are changing. More statues maker.

Exactly! Besides, who gives a **** about sideshow in this thread? Let's us discuss the awesomeness of this piece and leave sideshow's awful business practices for another thread.

I've accepted that I might not be into the unmasked portrait, but with the helmet on, he looks pretty impressive. Looks like it's going to be a nice display piece. That paint job is poppin'.

You're not even close brother. It used to be 10% but SS cut it down to 8%.

That's what we have heard. Until XM posts the final edition on their website...for now we expect it to be 800 max edition size.

I waver back and forth on which I prefer, but that helmet sculpt is looking damn sexy!

This is so the way I'm going to be displaying him.
