Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

I'm starting to question ThreeZero's commitment to the line now with all of their other licenses they now have.

They haven't shown anything new for any of their lines, so I don't think The Walking Dead is being singled out here. I'd expect something before the end of the year, but a lot of people are waiting on their other licenses eagerly as well, such as GoT.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

They seem more interested in posting behind the scenes and production photos.

Walking Dead could make them SO much money. So many variants of the same character - at least 3 or 4 versions of Rick I can think of, 3 versions of Daryl, Michonne, The Gov (2 head sculpts, one with patch), Shane - Zombie shane, Merle..the list is endless.

There are people like me who would just stick to Rick and Daryl, but many fans would eat up (great pun) Glenn, Carl, Hershel, Maggie.....Andrea :s ...Milton??
T Dawwwwwwg and then countless numbers of walkers.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

Has ThreeZero even been at a recent show/con? They've shown a lot of early work, just nothing recently. As they say, no news is good news.

Both Kim and Ash were over in Japan for their own show. Signings and book selling. They didn't seem to care much about sdcc or wonder fest etc

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

Personally I simply dont like the fact that they havent shown anything since January. Licences like TWD or GOT are heavy hitters. However they seem to concentrate on licences like Titanfall and Robocop. Pretyy sure this will end up as a hughe disappointment if TZ doenst come up with a recent update within the next 6-8 weeks. They really need to give us some news on Rick, Daryl and Merle.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

I think they can release them next week, next month, next year or the year after that and it won't make a difference to collectors that are interested in the product and fans of the TV show. The ratings aren't going anywhere, and market for collectibles has already been established with the success of the past seasons. In other words, the show can also end tomorrow and it won't make a difference to the people in the hobby.

I don't think I can budget for these guys later this year, so I'd prefer them in 2015 anyway. At the moment I'm following three MIA 1/6 series, TWD, GoT and Fringe.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

Ok, so I received my order last week from AMC. Outer box was kind of small, but I was still hopeful it was both figures. As I opened the box I noticed that the figure box is actually small enough that two figures would fit in the carrier box. Sadly, the only thing packed on the other side was bubble wrap. I figured I try my chances with their customer service, since they did email me stating they would honor the agreement. The idea of having to communicate with their customer service almost convinced me not to even try and sort this out. I emailed them and the fun began:
Told them I only got one figure.
Customer Service Person 1: They were sorry my order was wrong. They asked what happened. I had already told them in my initial email, but I told them again.
Customer Service Person 2: Couple days later another email. Wanted to know the color of the belt of the figure I got.:huh I told him/her and I also told them that it read Green Pet at the base of the box.
Customer Service Person 3: A few days later. They were sorry I got two of the same figure. Emailed back letting them know that's not what happened.
Customer Service Person 4: A few days later. They are sending me the missing figure, but if I could send back my extra figure because it's a high demand item. They would pay for its return. Emailed them back, again, letting them know that's not what happened.
Customer Service Person 5: Several days later. Sorry for the misunderstanding. You don't have to send anything back.

All this could have been handled in one email; my first one. If only they would have read it, or maybe they did not understand it.

Long story short I should get the Red Pet on Saturday. Can't complain too much both figures for $124 isn't bad.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

My head wanted to explode reading that. Why do they hafta make it so hard lol?? Good ish tho getting both figures at that price. Def worth the headache if these aren't the only figures they ever produce lol.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

They probably think that because the shows are still on the air the interest is going to remain for a few years still, but with some movie licenses, if you take too long, people move on to new films. Same can be said for video games. I mean HT are just doing Batman Arkham City now and we've already had another game released since and another one coming soon. People will mo e on when something new appears.

I can't believe they're wasting their time with that at all. But I know some people in the forum want a video game based Batman, so go figure. Also can't believe they're wasting more cycles on a new Tim Burton Batman (Returns) - total waste of time IMO. But there's apparently somewhat of market for it. There's no rush whatsoever with Walking Dead figures, no matter how much some fans want them now.

Re: ThreeZero Toys: 1:6 AMC's The Walking Dead

I expect that more will be announced as we get nearer to the Season 5 premiere... or at least that would make the most sense to me given the recent lull in info about TWD figures. I can't fault Threezero for pursuing something like Titanfall in the short-term because that will draw collectors interest for a much shorter period of time than a TV series like TWD. As soon as something new is shown or a pre-order is announced everyone will come running back.

That said, my interest in TWD has waned a bit, not just in collectibles, but in the show itself. It already feels like it's on rinse-repeat: find new place, things go wrong, place becomes unlivable, main character dies, repeat.

You're funny.
