Imdb please check rotten tomatoes

No, that site is just a preposterous and colossal waste of time. Completely irrelevant for each and every movie they calculate a meta score for. It's like going to see a horse vet in 1930 about engine problems in your car.

There's no hatred. I don't "hate" anything. But it's easy to look at those movies and look at other movies produced around the same time, let alone ones before and after. No need to keep it to Star Wars or even Sci Fi. They're just bad movies, totally ill-conceived and if they weren't "Star Wars" you can be sure they would have tanked, likely never seeing a second installment, let alone a third.

Hey, if you weren't around to see the OT when they were first released and were possibly very young when you first saw the PT, I can understand the nostalgic attachment, but seriously, 1-3 are just not good movies. I'm not telling anyone not to like them, I'm just trying to be as objective as possible when looking at this stuff. But anyway, not sure why you brought up the PT in the first place and had to broadly categorize and insult anyone who doesn't fancy them or thinks they're poor movies.

Not really a great way to make your introduction to the forum, you know what I mean?

I'd call it consensus, not bandwagoning, so to speak. Lucas works best as an idea man. When left to his own devices and with total control, as was the case with the prequels, there's no one to tell him something is stupid and there's a lot more stupid in Episodes I - III than in Episodes IV through VI.

Note: Episodes IV - VI have 'stupid' in them, too... mostly ROTJ and moreso now since Lucas' tinkering. The fact that Ewoks tipped the balance for the rebels against a legion of the Empire's best troops is ludicrous and the whole song and dance scene at Jabba's palace is intolerable.

I agree with everything you just said thank you someone has some sense finally!!!:yess:

I sense much anger in you... Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering...

Btw just mixed two quotes from two movies

I loved the prequels. Shame if it's true that HT isn't making any PT figures. But I wouldn't say no to a Han Solo DX.

He completely disagreed with everything you had previously said, how can you "agree with everything?"

I feel like I've entered the Twilight Zone. And for Mr. Kenobi, that's not a movie about vampires. ;)

Apparently the word on the street is that LFL are pushing everyone away from PT. There's some synopsis in the new Sideshow figure threads about the Star Wars panel run by LFL at SDCC.

No I agree to what he said that nobody would tell George what to do because they thought he had it completely under control I agree that the prequels have a lot of stupid moments but the OT also does have stupid moments. I also feel that two of the the three PT movies are eh. But what I said is that I hate when people bash on them and say there's nothing good about them, there's plenty good about them

Pixel piper... You will never find wretched scum quite like him....

But a few good elements don't make a good movie, which is what I said about being objective and looking at the big picture. Likewise, a few bad or weak elements don't necessarily make a bad movie, which is the case of the OT.

Red letter media spelled out why the PT sucked and made it a fact. If you like them, though, who cares? I like all sorts of terrible crap. I even kind of dug ROTS. But not enough to toss $300 at a toy. I'm pumped about this, HT Luke kills. I think Han and Leia excite me most just for HTs amazing portraits.

This is random but it's funny how people think legends is now an alternate universe:rotfl. To any body who thinks that, that is true no legends is now the pile where non canon material goes.

Re: Hot Toys - STAR WARS 1/6th & 1/4th Figures from Episode I-VII + Interview (X-Wing

I remember one of my friends from college, he was a Star Wars nut, he said the problem with the prequels was that they started to veer into Star Trek territory, in that they tried to explain everything. All that gobbledygook about Midi-chlorians? Virgin births? I mean, come on.

You mean like doctor who in every episode he explains what's going on

I personally consider the prequels to be worse movies than the original trilogy ("worse" being a relative term). I won't say they're objectively bad movies because nostalgia bias (growing up with the originals) clouds my objectivity and I have watched a LOT of crap over the years that is well and truly BAD. One could easily say that any Star Wars, even poorly conceived Star Wars, is better than no Star Wars. But I'd rather watch the originals if given the choice. Watching the prequels is more like a MST3K/Rifftrax-type event for me.

I won't mind if Lucasfilm and Hot Toys move away from the prequels. There are only a handful of main characters I'd want from the prequels that haven't been made or that I don't already have from Sideshow: ROTS Obi-wan, Anakin and Mace Windu comprising most of the list and maybe Dooku because I like Christopher Lee even if his character is kind of 'meh'.

The fact that Ewoks tipped the balance for the rebels against a legion of the Empire's best troops is ludicrous and the whole song and dance scene at Jabba's palace is intolerable.

Waaay off topic, but it isn't quite "ludicrous" that a less advanced, less armed group could take on an Empire and have success. I bet the bartenders, farmers, and shopkeepers in 1775 looked pretty dumb for taking on the British Empire with their hunting rifles and such. Granted, it took longer than a couple hours, and granted we had some help eventually, but in concept it could be done.

I only mention it because it's a relatively common dislike, but it never did bother me. Empires are made to fall. They all have. You are right on the money about that Jabba scene though. It's literally the only thing I ff through in the entire OT trilogy, IF I'm watching the SE's (which I don't much).

That said, I'm still hoping Anakin is first. They teased us with the announcement back in the day, so it's somewhat expected, and frankly he would look awesome and very likely add some sales to the deluxe 501st clones. Then go b alls to the walls OT.
