i agree with BuGz in hand the gold is not yellow whatsoever, what makes it look yellow might be due to the dioders used in mine and other pics?

Heres mine in daytime lighting with no detolf lights whatso ever as you can see the gold is definitely a dull colour just like the movie

Cool pic!

We compare it to the proto and movie and when the review pictures and videos came out the gold looked more like yellow (just like in your picture).

I'm surprised Smaug didnt come looking for this suit theres so much gold, I'm glad the 43 goes back to majority red, I much prefer that suit, but with at least a year to go, maybe more until we even see the 43 this will do

I feel the complete opposite Brainy, I'm LOVING the gold on this especially knowing HT will make it shiny, so displayed it's going to Snap! Crackle! Pop! like Rice Krispies! :panic:

So many of the other armors that sport the candy red, anything different at this point helps distinguish it on display.

thats a valid point :lecture

Been posing mine quite a bit, people who are breaking these are morons who fly in without taking any care. Once you know how the joints work, its not exactly rocket science to know that if you try moving it in a position its not supposed to, it will end in tears.

That's my feeling with a lot of the "QC issues" that get reported on pretty much every new figure.

Obviously QC problems arise from time to time, but the way I've seen some people on video reviews handle their figures it's not too much of a stretch to imagine that many of the reported breakages on the 42 were down to people treating the new joints like they're indestructible.

But as is the way, these types would rather whine and blame the company rather than their own stupidity.

My friend got his 42 a week or so back and I asked him about the shoulder joints and he said they're fine as long as you're careful....so no different to any other figure then.

He also told me that once mine arrives I'll probably view all the non diecast armors in a slightly different light :lol

There both just as good as each other. But the Mark 42 looks a lot better. Still my two favourite Iron Man suits

Hot Toys will likely re-release all of the first seven armors, at least, in diecast form. It's the one line that really lends itself to diecast, not to mention it's highly popular and very profitable.
