I'm a little dissaapointed, both heads are a bit of a let down for me.

WOW! These are crumby cell phones pics and this piece still defines EPIC! XM absolutely killed it here!

That floating Cerebro helmet is the bees knees! I'm really enjoying the shiny helmet as well, the contrast with his suit is gorgeous!

I'm loving all the sculpts and the expressions chosen for them.

looks like the same approach that Koto used on their 1/6 Magneto...a pin on the Helmet inserts into the thumb ? (just a guess)

you guys giving backstorys for the "sad" face, instead of saying it shouldn't look sad, bcz its supposed to be angry (see original pics) are nuts.. as I said sculpt is spot-on perfect, paint needs work, IM REALLY hoping its just the cell phone pics

Great update, love how XM is showing us the progress. There's something about the face that's missing.

I will hold my thoughts and reservations until we get come clean pictures. These are 8 megapixel images at best. No way we're getting the true details and color scheme with these pics. I appreciate them being posted as everyone has been foaming at the mouth for an update but in comparison to the original pictures posted of the throne and emblem these pics do not come close to showing this piece off the way it's supposed to look. Personally I don't think pictures should be released period unless they are HD quality and clear photos. I'll add my critiques (if even necessary) when we have real pictures.

You're right Tavegg. ,SS usually have professional fotographer with added background etc to bring out the best of the product. Magneto should wait and see final proper setup foto. . Then we give input and hopefully XM listens to our inputs.

i don't think anyone participating in this thread is panicking Tavegg...just trying to give positive suggestions
i for one love this statue...in fact i'll go as far as saying that if this was revealed at the SDCC, it would have been the star attraction....nothing else at that show even comes close

that being said, it seems that XM listens/appreciates feedback from it's customers...here's hoping they take the "criticisms" in a positive manner (as it was intended)
imho, this is about 95% perfect...a few tweeks and this could very well be THE best statue i have seen in years

Agree. This post from SF hit the nail on the head with some good obsevations and suggestions for improvement/tweaks.

From the neck down, this is surely among the best and most detailed statues i've ever seen!!

The heads though, give me some trouble.

As bobfrog already said, the expression of the unhelmeted variant is almost neutral.. vacant. The digital sculpt had a lot
more stern and determined look. But it seems, this is something you could probably correct with the paint app.

The expression of the helmeted version is practically spot on, but here the helmet itself poses the "area of concern".

I've put the 2 versions side by side (digital sculpt vs. painted proto), and as you can see, the problem lies not with the position of the
helmet but with the height of the helmet sculpt itself. Especially the upper part (above the opening for the eyes) is way longer than it
has been in the digital sculpt.

Also the opening for the eyes is bigger than it was before, so even if you could push down the helmet to the proper height (to the ridge
of the nose) the lower part of the opening would be way too low then (about the height of the tip of his nose) plus - the the helmet
itself would almost touch his shoulders, which would look rather.. odd.

I'm not sure, but this doesn't seem like an easy fix to me. Still, i've trust that XM is capable of fixing these issues.

Completely agreed buddy. The first thing I wanted to jump on board with as a slight complaint or critique was the unmasked portrait. Doesn't look anything like the original unpainted portrait in those pictures. That was my most anticipated part of this statue as I thought it was sculpted perfectly. Then I let the emotions simmer down, went back to the facts and thought. ... Ummmm. We're looking at less then stellar photos here. No reason to judge yet. Let's see the good pics first! Those pics are drowning out the details imo. Proper pictures will show a lot more I believe. Also your absolutely correct. XM defintely is paying attention to our thoughts and critiques. They have been absolutely amazing in regards to the fans feedback. Purple cape? Sure. Here go gentleman. Too comicy? Alright well complete redo black widows portrait for you so you can have one of each. Not feeling Hulks first portrait? Here's another one free of charge! What's that you say marvel? No cigar smoking Logan portrait. Well piss off then. We're still giving our fans a third portrait and as a matter of fact well make him angry and the best looking of the whole bunch. XM is undoubtedly listening to us. They care. They are making this hobby better for everyone. It is an amazing time to be in the hobby

Unfortunately me. Now, this might change if they reveal a lower price (highly doubtful). But I'm forcing myself to stick to my collecting rules.

Yeah I agree. The helmet needs to be tweaked some to fit better...
