Don't get too excited guys.

They'll prolly use the same bespin luke sculpt for their farmboy and Jedi Luke figures. And the indy sculpt from dx05 for their Han Solo releases, judging from their recent trends of reusing previous sculpts. (Check Gordon TDKR, BR Joker v2.0 if you don't frequent the DC section).

WOW! Took me a few hours to catch up with this thread (working night shift) but it was a fun read. Very excited by the prospect of futur HT Star Wars releases even though it could take a while before we see the first prototype. Yet, i would welcome a surprise reveal at San Diego this week-end. A DX Han would make this year event the best ever.

Yeah, I was just thinking the same. Next couple of years is looking to be extremely expensive. Plus now I'm thinking about selling a bunch of stuff off to make room but everything I have was 'essential'. Guess these are good problems to have, though!

This is the announcement I've been waiting for.

..& totally Wor-Gor - licorice boy will be junk in a little while.

Looks like my "waiting for for the value to skyrocket to sell" angle has failed.


Its going to be fun to watch everyone scrambling to sell off their SSC Star Wars figures in the coming months.

Yoda!!!

Ill buy parts from their Vader. I'm not buying another full release. Besides, if BD T-800 was $300 what will Vader be? $350+. F that noise.

You think there'll be a mad dash to sell? I'm not so sure. Everything I've bought since getting into the hobby with IG-88 I've been happy with. I don't think anyone expects HT to re-do a lot of the characters that SSC nailed. I can see everyone wanting to dump their humans and maybe Boba Fett and Vader, since they're the most likely for re-release from HT. The other stuff I think will be OK.

I'm thinking about selling some of the stuff I really like, actually (Cantina themed), only because I might want to change focus and space is limited.

I want Chewie, ANH Han and a Princess Leia that doesn't look like a monkey. I care not one sh-t for anything from the PT.

Yes, I'd be totally find if HT completely avoided the PT. But I'm sure they'll do a ROTS Anakin and Maul fairly early on. Might take a bit longer to get a PT Kenobi, but I'm sure he's in the pipeline as well.

I'd say I'm most interested in the following from HT:
ANH Luke
ANH Han
ANH Leia
Chewbacca (preference towards ANH look, but I'd take the more combed ROTJ)
Bespin Han
Bespin Leia
ROTJ Luke, especially if they also give us the Poncho look

I highly doubt they would have all the figures planned only to be bowing out in a year, my guess is this will continue to be a collaboration

I think SSC has done alright by the SW line

I agree as well. it does not hurt to team up with the best talent to make the products 10x better. but with a collaboration of great talent to make things better

I could care less about any Prequel characters at this point. Bring on the Original and Sequel characters.
