These conventions, ALL of them are growing by leaps and bounds. Didn't NYCC sell out really fast this year too? We drove over to Phoenix CC this year, had a fantastic time, but even that convention I believe had about 78,000 people.

It's cool to be a nerd.

Anaheim is great for Wondercon, but the biggest room there, the Arena holds about 4,000. Hall H holds more than 6,000. Pretty sure that wouldn't alleviate the problem.

Personally, I wish they'd sell less tickets. That's the only real way to make the convention less crowded, the lines shorter, etc. But I already know so many people who tried and didn't get any tickets or only got one or two days.......supply and demand man.

I am wondering if anyone willing to pick up some Art Prints for me if you are going to be there on Thursday morning. Please send me a PM.

Perhaps boycotting Hall H is the way to go. The overnight line-waiting can get really taxing. That, and the fact that Con tickets are getting tougher to get are the 2 primary reasons I can think of why people are thinking if this will be their last Con.

I want to someday take my kids, and I am wondering how we would even be able to wait overnight with kids...might just be SOL.

I agree. Please lead the charge and implore as many attendees in line as possible to follow you. Godspeed.

I'm going with my wife and 8 year old son. We'll just all get our wristbands on Friday afternoon/evening, then they go home and come back around 7am. I wait in line overnight. That's all.

Thanks, the new app is very useful for scheduling.

What's everyone lining up for?

I cant believe theres gonna be a sequel to the Goonies!

Yes, and please don't mind me as I take your spot in line, :lol

FYI, I am helping Sideshow with some giveaways ONLY for people who are actually attending SDCC. If you are, and you'd like to be added to the group of people eligible to win prizes, friend me on FB and I'll add you. My FB is www.facebook.com/cofphoto

Sorry, but I can't add you to the group unless we are friends.

Good luck!

Boycotting the exclusives would help a gripe. You have people who go, and bring (use) their families just to make money. The panels are the side stuff on their list, if at all.

IMO, They really should make the tickets one per person. That can help one to get in.

Exactly!!
Anaheim would be a mess, and Vegas convention center is horrible... And far from everything, same with LA,
That's the cool thing about San Diego, just across the street there's dozens of bars, restaurants and hotels. Every other convention center is in the middle of nowhere... Or pretty far from cool spots to hang out later and crappy public transportation. SD has the trolley right there! Oh, and the ocean view in the rear if you want to chill for a little while!!

Vegas has a monorail that connects to the convention center and casinos. But it's not as nice as SD, BUT this convention needs to move out of SD.

Damn, I really wanted to go the comic con this year. Still can't believe I didn't get tickets. I was wondering, somebody said a while ago that a few weeks before the Con they list badges that were returned/refunded. Has that happened already... will it happen?

They said a while back there will be no return badges sale.
