If they finally nail the seemingly unatainable likness of Mark Hamill, then this will be day-1 pre-order. Young, ANH Luke in a pilot suit, is the quintessential Star Wars image for me.

Judging by the blurred out preview (if its the photo of the actuall prototype, rather than a movie still), it seems that it might have that open-mouthed, boyish, excited and scared expression of a young Luke, about to blow up the Death Star, which I think is very fitting. I would certainly prefer that to the standard, dead-eyed, neutral look, that has no place in a X-wing cockpit

Sorry if someone already said this, but I wonder if they'll take a page from BBI and do an X-Wing cockpit instead of the full scale vehicle?

As Alex mentioned above - that's not the figure. Seems the Hamill likeness nut has been cracked though - HT's Bespin Luke and SSC's Hoth Luke both are excellent Luke licenses.

As Alex mentioned above - that's not the figure.

I see. I am still hoping for something else, than a neutral stare. I know that many people on the board, don't like headsculpts with open mouths, but I think in this case, ANH Luke could really benefit from a set expression, a little bit of that "boy on an adventure" charm, that he had in ANH, but grew out of in the next two movies.

HT Bespin Luke definately looks good, but there's still something not quite Hamill about that head to me. Hoth sculpt by Trevor is spot-on, but the paintjob in mass-produced pieces will be the big unknown. There's also the thing about ANH, "pre-accident" Hamill looking considerably different than he did in ROTJ and ESB, and I haven't yet seen a convicing sculpt of "young Luke" (here's hoping that Sideshow will not simply recycle Hoth head for this one). I have high hopes though.

On another note - scratch built X-Wing cockpit, in 1/6 scale, for Luke to sit in, with some LED lights action. Probably beyond my modeling skills. Could try though...
