If I may respectfully bring up something to XM and the team you are working with???

1/6 for statues of any kind is going to be much harder to sell well.....and the main reason is this........

HOT TOYS and now just about EVERY OTHER COMPANY UNDER THE SUN is doing 1/6 poseable figures. I'll be honest, I would rather buy 1/6 poseable action figures with real mixed media than I would a statue.

I think its just the timing of this. But hey, I don't mean to piss on anyone's parade. Maybe this will take off, maybe it will not. One thing for certain is, you will get a fully understanding of how this would work out in the collectible market today.

Another question??? Is this a licensed 1/6 Marvel that will allow XM or whoever is the main company to sell directly to the US? Or is it still a 4 Countries type thing like XM 1/4 statues?

All these are logistics that could play a part in if they sell or not, especially in different countries.

I will keep my ear to the ground with this line. As I stated before, these are actually very nice looking 1/6 statues (from the digital mock ups). I just have the bigger is better bug.

I'm complete opposite, I rather have a 1/6 statue then a 1/6 doll... that said I did just spend $1700 on 1/6" star wars dolls from sideshow BUT if someone had 1/6 star wars statues for sale I would of bought those instead but since they don't I went the action figure route..

Haha wow, I don't even want to know what I spent on one line. You are brave, sir. I agree though, whether it's a figure or statue there's a huge market for both, so if XM can produce quality pieces in this scale they'll have little trouble raking in profits.

Did I miss something? Bowen Designs stopp production since end of last year. PrototypeZ is making DC only and that are unpainted KIT's. Kotobukiya Fine Art line up is like 2 statues a year and Gentle Giant make only busts and four 1/6 Scalers on motobikes. Hot Toys is making movie figures only and no statues.

So in my book there is nearly nothing new outside and that is why I welcome XM Statues in this scale a lot.

Yeah, plus we saw some cool stuff come out in 1/6 format from Iron Studios. 1/6 scale statues might gives us some nice dioramas options.

I think the question is cost. With Bowen you were at a little over $200 and shipping. Are the XM 1/6th scales going to come in at a SSC PF cost? If so why bother?

Agreed, but they are cost prohibitive.
People are whining about XM shipping cost but the shipping cost for that Iron Studios Hulk 1/6 was over $200 :

I like the 1/6 scale, which is why I've erred more towards Hot Toys, etc. But I am lazy with them - never repose, minimal futzing, etc. So statues in this scale are something I'd definitely be interested in, if they're done well.
