ND has said before that they only makes games when they feel there is a worthwhile story to tell. As sad as it makes me, they must feel Drake's adventures have played out. It may not make the most commercial sense, but the studio clearly values their artistic integrity more.

BY LUKE KARMALIUncharted 4: A Thief's End may indeed be the final chapter in the franchise, according to the man behind Nathan Drake.

Speaking to IGN, Nolan North explained that as far as he’s aware this is the last title that Naughty Dog want to do in the series, and admitted he hopes no one else tries to continue the story without the studio."It’s bittersweet but at a certain point you want to go out on top," North told me. "If this is the last one indeed, and I believe it’s the last one - nothing’s confirmed, but I believe it’s the last one Naughty Dog wants to do, in which case I hope somebody else doesn’t pick up the mantle because they’ve done it so well for so long - but yeah, it’s one of those things where you just have to cross that bridge when you get to it.

"I like the idea of going out on top so we better do a hell of a job with this one… and it’s already looking pretty good."

Uncharted 4 was officially announced earlier this week during Sony’s E3 press conference, with early story details surfacing yesterday.UNCHARTED 4: A THIEF'S END / 11 JUN 2014

Naughty Dog now has The Last of Us directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley heading up Nathan Drake’s next journey.

Sony teased the next Uncharted game on the eve of PlayStation 4’s launch, so it seemed like Nathan Drake’s next adventure was coming along swimmingly at developer Naughty Dog. But behind the scenes, there have been some major shakeups for Uncharted 4, with writer Amy Hennig departing Naughty Dog unexpectedly earlier this year. Game director Justin Richmond followed shortly after.

Uncharted 2 still the best of the 3 until we see 4. And pirates sounds like fun...

But if they continue the series, let Drake find D.B. Coopers treasure with a paddle. :lol

Damn! That's the engine? Mhmmmm I'll still wait to draw judgment, they always show the prettiest at e3 and it always looks far inferior the closer it gets to release.
