Already worried about the final paint lol. This image is setting way too high of a standard.

Ah, thank you :) Usually Google finds me the main one...there were actually no other options! Odd that the title of the other thread is exactly what I typed. Well, sorry for the necroing :slap :)

This is already DHAVALs thread. He should of just bumped it.

Just got the laptop out. Detail on it is pretty amazing. Those Dreads...
Prepare for disappointment!

I will have this **** repainted by Joe if I have to.........assuming all the other angles look good.

Sorry, I meant the colours, but thinking about it it nay just be the edited preview. I agree this is pretty damn close. I really like these LSB's and this looks like a winner. I just hope this gets painted better than the P2. I'm certainly in for this! :hi5:

You may yet get a 1:1 down the line. I'm happy this is an LSB for now.

This is what I thought. The colors look dull but maybe it's just the way the preview looks. It does look good but we need to see more pics :D

It's really nice. I'm not sure about getting a LSB Predator with all the Aliens on the way, plus SDCC right around the corner...unfortunately, the pre-orders must remain on the shorter side on my end. That said, this does look really great! It'll be nice to see it at SDCC, with the paint job and all. This paint job looks closer to the Predator 1 LSB than the most recent P2 LSBs that everyone disliked due to poor paints.

Also, what do you guys prefer, open or closed mandibles? I've always been a fan of open...I mean, this one does look nice, but if I had a choice, open just seems a lot cooler to me...fierce and all that jazz!

I didn't mean it in a negative manner, I think this one looks great! We'll see more soon, this guy is on display at the Con! :rock

P2 Elder always had his mandibles closed, no reason to sculpt them open.

Oh, I'm definitely not a Predator guru, though I am a fan of the character/world! I meant more in general when it comes to Predator sculpts, not this particular one. What I meant above was that I think this looks like a really awesome LSB, but I'd likely only get one Predator LSB for my collection and I always found the open mandibles to be pretty awesome. That said, the limited edition LSB last year -- which sold out almost instantly -- ended up having open mandibles and a really pink, shiny mouth that looked less realistic than this one does, and more like a painted piece...okay, I know that doesn't really make sense, but I'm sure you guys know what I mean :)

So yeah, that's what I meant really...just what you guys preferred in your predator sculpts if you had the choice! :)

P2s closed mandible looked much better than open imo.
That's why I sold Savage. That and he fetched decent cash :)

so you had them both at the same time? Did you take any pics of them together? I'd like to see them. Not sure if I will go after the LSB , Maquette or wait for Narin's 1/3.

Good stuff! :) I just looked those up again, and yeah, I agree the open mandible just doesn't work too well on that sculpt. I wasn't a huge fan of the paint job in general, as the whole piece has a glazed paint job look to it that the P1 LSB looks like it didn't get (from pictures), which is good. That's what this one is looking like as well.

And I don't doubt he was a great pick-up to make a bit of money off of (even if not the initial reasoning behind the purchase!) so congrats there.

Are there many more to be released? I mean, I know they can just keep redoing 1 and 2...and of course, there's the recently announced Shane Black sequel that's coming, so I guess there's even more to come! I'll wait and see how Elder looks come SDCC...no rush here at all. But it'd definitely be nice to add one Predator LSB to my collection...just a matter of which! :)
