No real high-end 12" Stormtrooper options in 2014?!?

So, I really want two high-end 12 inch stormtroopers to stand behind my sideshow Darth Vader deluxe, but I cannot find any real options. The sideshow ones have a helmet and a codpiece that look off among other things. The medicom line is just not big enough, being too small for 1/6 scale. It also looks kind of cheap and the pictures.

How can it be that I cannot find any 12" stormtroopers in 2014 with high-end Collectables market being as big as it is? What options do you suggest? I mean, any one getting into the hobby should be able to build army of stormtroopers at any given time right?

I have pondered this… you would think that Sideshow would just keep the Stormtrooper as a constant option for purchase. It is such a staple for everyone. I have the original trooper they released, but I would absolutely love newly released versions.

I hope for a new Storm trooper too. The only older stomrtroopers that I might pick up are the Black and Commander's since I don't know if sideshow will be able to make those in the future again.

I have Marmit and SSC versions which I both like very much. The inaccuracies on the Sideshow are insignificant compared to its rag-doll like body issues. Both look phenomenal in my opinion and much better than anything else ever released by anyone. And certainly the SSC trooper is no more inaccurate than SSC's Vader, which I also have and like very much.

If the clone wars were any indication, I'm guessing as soon as Rebels starts, they'll be pushing stuff from it like crazy and they use Stormtroopers armor, so I'm just waiting on that eventual release.

On the imdb page there is a credit for "Flamethrower Stormtrooper" as well as "Stormtrooper".... so you never know! It could turn up again!

What they need to do is release a deluxe version. Tweak the armor so it fits better (didn't the Sandtroopers have this?) and release it with 2 helmets (ESB and ROTJ). Hell, throw in SW while you're at it and charge an extra $25!

First there was a different stormtrooper for each locale.

Then there was a different color for every trooper.

Now there's a designation for whatever they happen to be holding. Flamethrower trooper. Knife trooper. Rock trooper. Comm link trooper. Coffee trooper. 'His own unit' trooper.

Meh. If there are to be stormtroopers in the next movie everyone involved won't be able to help themselves - they'll bust out some 'contemporary' design, 'cleverly' borrowing design cues from the classic suit but leaving fans with a steamer.

I'm sure they'll do a new Stormtrooper. Look at all these Clone releases.

It's sort of crazy that for as long as they've had the Star Wars license, they have yet to do a TIE pilot or Scout. Atleast the Snowtrooper got his due.

they are intensifying the hype and building interest so when they decide to release, they can put a higher price point. so sick of all the prequel clones being released.

Sideshow will revisit the Stormtrooper... they've said it a number of times. I'd imagine it will either be a ROTJ specific, or some kind of deluxe version as Waller sugested. Just a matter of time.

The original release was 2008, I wonder if SSC even once have considered the probably thousands of Stormtroopers they could sell annually if only it was available. Even the old crappy ones would sell pretty well as is if available.
