Mine is dirty looking. It's probably the photos as the light wasn't great when I took them.

Cheers.

You getting him ?

yes i have him already. my photos of all ot troops didn't come out well at all and considering how well even good photos are received here, i do not dare post them lol!!! i am waiting for this other collector from another forum bluray.com to post photos of all the trooper pfs from ssc, i hope. i really like your display also. :clap i desperately need to work on mine.

Not sure I get the hate for this guy. In person the head seems just right for the huge helmet - same proportion as in the film. The mixed media of the uniform is really outstanding - different colors and textures for each part that you would think would have it.

SSC has been suffering this for many years, but there seems to be a backlash against the company or unreasoning/unrealistic criticisms for some pieces that are truly outstanding.

I like my Snowtrooper, I have on regrets buying him... I just wish their poses and bases were more exciting and that we could see less mix media and some more fully sculpted Star Wars statues, I think if they would of made this statue a full sculpt and had him looking forward like he's in a hurry moving over all the debris in his way or even had him pose with the gun turret it would of been more of a home run... But that's just my personal tastes...

I view mixed media like you view The Clone Wars series :p

:lol In that case let me tell you from personal experience it's really unhealthy to hate something that much. Do you have fantasies about killing whoever first put fabric on a statue the way I dream of killing Dave Filoni? :monkey3

I have mix feelings about this statue. The pose is a bit awkward and he has a bit of a big head, I wouldn't say his pose is bad but it doesn't really jump out and grab your attention either . The terry cloth PJ's material is underwhelming (But authentic after doing some research), I think it would of looked so much better with some sort of leather style material instead.

HOLY ****!! That head is ****ing HUGE!! LOL

The forearm in this picture really does look un-humanly small. Looking forward to opening mine tomorrow and hopefully finding a good angle. Rex also had stick legs from certain angles which was a bit of a shame. From the right direction he looks awesome though.

Is the head huge or the neck super long?

EDIT: After seeing the much better pics in this thread I'd say this figure looks great. Especially works next to the other troopers. There is definitely something weird with the head but it's no where as noticeable in other people's pics.

For all those saying the head is way too big, go watch ESB again. The trooper looked slightly disproportianate in the film. I don't have my snowie yet, so I can't comment directly, but only on the pics in this thread. There are some great pics showing a fantastic PF and some pics focusing on the head only. From what I've seen so far, I can't wait to get this guy.

the head is not too big, it's the nature of the helmet flap that's slightly puffed and also the illusion it is bigger due to the flap coming all the way down.

This is another great piece, i wish all sideshow statues have the consistent quality as their star war releases.

Love it, just need sand trooper + tie pilot

Pictures usually dont do these justice. I'm waiting until mine arrives on Monday then I will give an honest, unbiased, in hand opinion :)

Very good posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'am very happy with the first pics, and can't wait until Monday!!!!!!!

It's all about the angle :) This thing looks just like the prototype so if you like SS pictures you'll love this statue...

Maybe it's just an odd costume. He looks ok head on, but if I owned him, I would NEVER turn him to the side. Looks like a bobblehead from that angle.

Received mine today...overall a pretty nice statue but there are some lazy mistakes and when I have time I'm going to work on mine. The E-11 is the wrong one (there shouldnt be a counter and or magazine tubes)..ab plate is to big and the hemet/cowl are, as expected not to my liking. The cowl is made of fairly thick plastic so should be a easy fix to get rid of some of the overcreased look. Shall also redo the eyes as they are to big. Weathering is pretty good but the duster a little short. My two pence :)

just got mine.

those pics above really give a bad impression. Mine looks good. Doesnt look half as skinny as those pics. Ive seen a few comments here and elsewhere that imply some people are glad they cancelled for a multitude of reasons after seeing these pics. i think they might rethink that position if they saw it in person. this is awesome and anyone on the fence should go for it. youll really like it.
