And their both horrible. I remember hearing that they changed the mask last minute because Jamie Lee Curtis herself complained about the mask. So they re shot what they could but obviously when you watch the film you can see in scenes the other mask still there.

One did a H20 mask once or twice. He went with the overall look that replaced the awful mask for most of the movie. Basically it looked like the mask I just showed a pic of before.

Another quick tidbit for ya. Early trailers showed Myers wearing the original mask when he sees her through the round window of the door. But later the trailer was changed to show the improved mask that ultimately we saw in the final film.

I'm not sure when exactly she complained but it was loud enough that they spent the money to reshoot a lot of the scenes with the better mask.

Wow I had no idea, they changed the mask, the first one was just awful.

Yeah I am glad as well. I was so upset when I saw the trailer back then and saw that mask!! It looks like Myers is an alien from another planet with that mask on. ...then when I saw the improved mask take it's place I was so pumped and couldn't wait to see the film. However with that knowledge of switching the masks, you cannot unsee what you CAN see. I had read that some scenes still shows the old mask but with some clever editing it wasn't too noticeable. But me being the obsessed fan that I am, I know every frame in that movie where he is wearing the other mask and it always bugs me. Watch the film again, and you will see. The scene where they pay homage to the original and the girl in school looks out the class window and sees Myers there, look at that particular scene for example. It's the original mask that he has on there.

All masks in H20 are the worst ever. Even the balding/afro mask in H5 is better than them.

I just hated all the masks that they used in H20.

It was a real shame as this was meant to be the film that connected with the first two but the mask was a let down for sure.

I do agree with you but I'm still happier they changed it to what they did rather then to stick with that first version. The problem at the time was no one wanted to touch the Shatner mask look because of rights issues and now that it was very known what they used originally. However Hollywood underestimated the fans and thought they could just slap any old white mask with hair on a guy and that would be enough. That's what always ruins it for me with the sequels. The best to come along was RZ 's remake but then he ruined that in part 2 by having it basically gone and destroyed with only a portion of it left on the guys face. I honestly think from the original sequels the only masks I kind of liked besides the original 2 were part 6 and Resurrection. The masks were decent. However despite the mask I think part 4 was one of the best sequels story wise. I just wish the mask was better in that film. The only part I do not agree with you is regarding part 5. For me that is the worst mask they ever had In my opinion. Honestly though they all suck compared to the original version.

So I understand that it can be considered more likely that he would wear a different looking mask. But considering we are talking about a guy who can be shot, blown up, and killed multiple times but still come back, I think we could put realism aside and just have him wear the same damn mask as he did in 78.

Yes and if you look closely at the scene in the school where Myers attacks Loomis and throws him out the window, there is a Ben Trammer mask cameo.

If they did not change the masks in H20 then yes it would have gone down as one of the worst masks ever to be worn by Myers in all of the Halloween movies. But they did change it and in my opinion it was better than H5 mask. I hated the H5 mask with a passion and I will not even want one in a 1/6. It was so repelled ugly and I cringed every time it appeared on screen. Of course the 78 mask will always be the best! I am with you guys on how Rob Zombie practically destroyed a good mask in H2. I liked the RZ H1 mask. When little Michael showed up in the hallway with the mask on and went after his sister, that scene gave me the goosebumps just seeing it. In the movie, Resurrection, the mask was pretty cool especially the forehead design. That mask made Myers look angry! I wouldn't blame him being angry to see those idiots making a film in his house! I would be too! For fun we should start a thread and vote on the best to worst masks in order and debate from there.

-Some 15" knife

I spent a little under $500 in the end after buying all the supplies I needed. I may or may not have overspent on the mask ($140) because I don't know much about masks but it was in my budget and looks really good even if it's old.

I weathered the coveralls, boots, knife myself.

All that's left is to add a little blood to the hands and I'm good to go.

An awesome life sized figure right there! It's refreshening to see something different rather than posting pictures of the 1/6 figures. Not that I don't love seeing pictures of any Myers figures, I do! Just do not see that many life sized Myers out there. I would love to do one! Someday...
