Out of his 34 suits that he could "mind-control" he calls forth the one that has like no weaponry or armament, lol

But I guess it was closest to Pepper at the time, but he should've just called out another one that was battle-ready after she got out safely. :dunno

Well im sure if the NRD is taken as a down payment on a figure, then as long as the figure is still coming they would be right to keep it... if the figure was cancelled (never happend in 250+ releases) then im sure they would give it back... There arent really any flaws with taking deposits

A deposit can be made for something that is to be delivered at certain conditions.
An example: I could start a commission thread and claim I will be making movie accurate dark knight cowls.
Then I could charge NRD of 10USD and 50 more when the work is done (purely fictional).
Then I would say because of unexpected delays the cowls will not be ready for shipment until 2018.
Technically, no one could claim back their NRD, right? Making this the perfect (legal) fraud. Not exactly, because the deposit was made under the impression that
Delivery of the item would be fulfilled within a reasonable timespan. As soon as these conditions change (ie significant delay) the contract can be undone.
At least in Germany this is customary.

There is nothing wrong with a deposit. Some amount of money that must be paid upfront.
I just don't understand why it is permanent. What exactly did I pay for, in the event of a significant delay and cancellation of the order?

But, I don't want to start a big discussion, though

Clearly...

In any case Sideshow is a good company and im sure would give it back to you if you asked (and the piece was unreasonably delayed)... Or they may not, that would be their right as well as youre the one you agreed (through purchasing and giving them a deposit) to forfeit that money.

I hope he kicks some ass in Avengers 2, the MKXLII its my favourite armor aesthetically. Thats the only reason I'm buying it.
It made me laugh I give it that but it still sucks

Honestly I'm still waiting for Shotgun, Pepper and Killian :impatient: :impatient: :impatient:

I don't want my NRD back, and don't plan on canceling any orders soon :)
I was just curious if anyone ever thought of the flaws in the concept of a NRD. For me, this NRD is totally new and struck me as interesting.
Thanks for the replies

If something is delayed multiple times they will give you your NRD back. I've done it a couple of times.

I could not decipher this sentence :lol

This armor was used as a comedic device for Robert Downey Jr. I mean, lets face it, Iron Man 3 should have been Tony Stark 1. This armor looks tremendous, it has a really unqiue look with a lot of appeal... I like the look of it and Iron Man Hot Toys are hard to come by reasonably. This will round out my diecast Iron Man figures (I have War Machine 2.0 as well as Iron Patriot) so I justified getting it for all the above reasons.

I can see the argument of where it was a joke and not a traditional Mark Armor like say Mark VII, but it'll pop on the shelf.

How do you figure? Iron man 3 was Garbage and if it was Iron man 1 Marvel studios would have tanked...

Lies. They have made a ton of Spider Man movies and all have them have been dog crap yet they keep churning them out. Same can be said of Clooney & Kilmer Batman films, Hulk too.

I didnt think it was garbage but it wasn't Iron Man 1 standard thats for sure. I think you can see the armor 2 ways, either it was a joke armor designed for humor that was NOT funny, or it was a serious armor that was a piece of crap

but thats just my opinion

Fair point, but listening to Favreu and Feige speak on Iron man 1 they say they literally put everything into 1 and it was a huge gamble for them... The money they made from Iron man 1 single handedly funded their studio...

Unlike all the other movies Marvel didnt have a studio operation at the time
