Well that's mighty optimistic.... I think more company's making statues means more options, means lower resale value for everything, means no more 2000$ for original PF's. All good news to me.

Well sale prices depends on many things. Sometimes resale value means nothing and it can depend on the sellers situation and nothing to do with more statue options. Grails at 2k can sometimes go for 500 bucks if someone is desperate to sell.

What about the LSF prices? big bucks to pay now and then when they make version 2 and 3 of those? Imagine trying to sell first versions at profits...in the future there will be even more statue options at the higher level of 3k statues...

so much money won and lost daily :panic:

I must say, the more I see a picture of this, the more the stance with the shield out in front grows on me. (Not more than the cap pf) Certainly a cool statue. When is this expected to ship again?

Long gone are they days of flipping with more companies, instead of SS monopoly in the statue.

SSC already hit flippers years ago with the intro of NRD and TBD ES. Not to mention, the quality of SSC merch as a whole isn't what it used to be. That's why those early grails keep going up in price. How do hollow statues produced in the thousands compete with solid statues that have half the ES of current pieces? Flipping isn't as easy as it used to be. I don't care personally. I always buy what I like and usually only sell pieces when I need space.

Exactly! I'm going to buy what I like, as long as I can afford it. I like the sideshow cap better, and it's affordable. If I liked this XM cap more, I wouldn't be able to get it with its double pf cost standard...

Just how it is. No complaints here.

Sweet pictures. Face doesn't look great in my opinion. But the body looks fantastic. I like the idea of having bullet casings everywhere. Might make some for my set up.

@ thepurist

Are those actual in hand pics that you posted? He looks amazing. The paint app looks as clean as they come. Especially the eyes. They are done perfectly. Wow I am even more excited for this guy now. Looks incredible

@ Tavegg yes, these are pics of the final product. They're from a Singapur's collector.

Face doesn't look asian, it's pretty well done imo

Thanks Kenmk1

Yeah I don't understand the whole Asian reference. I mean, I've never met an Asian with blue eyes. He looks like Steve Rogers to me. Whatever. To each their own. This is the classic cap for me no doubt. Looks like they really delivered on the final product

The only issue I see with the face is it being Comic Bookish vs Realistic.... I think XM went with the comic book vibe on these initial statues but they might find that people want a bit more realistic look in their face with a hint from the comic books.. Still the overall statue is pretty amazing. Love the perfect paint app... defiantly several notches above SS quality..

Now this I can agree with. I don't want to say anime but cartoony with less realism definitely fits the description in my head. I don't mind it at all. When I was first introduced to captain America it was in a comic book, not on the big screen. I am curious to see how the third black widow portrait comes out. To have a realistic and comic version is the ultimate. It will make almost everyone happy

Because people like making imbecilic like comments. Maybe its their way of saying they prefer more realistic???? (I still don't know what that means in reference to XM Cap face vs. SS PF face.....they both look comic booky) statues instead of comic type statues.

Personally, I think the faces on the XM statues are perfect for XM statues and the faces on SS are perfect for SS statues. I don't see the need for comparing the two companies when they are clearly targeting a whole unique statue collecting audience. XM = fully sculpted comic renditions. SS = mixed media comic book to real life interpretations.

Two different audiences. Keep them separate people....please.

Agreed. I understand that these are not affordable to most. I'm sure there are people that find it easier to poke and pry at any flaw they can grasp at then to admit they (XM) are doing something great for this hobby. It's all irrelevant to me. I've been a raving fan of this cap from the moment I saw him. There is not a negative opinion that is going to change my stance or thought process on XMs products. They are on fire

That's exactly it! I want them to look like real people. And definitely not a comic/anime look. But I can see why people like the style. It honestly came out great.

CONGRATS GUYS! :ccheerlea
