Both are great, but it's hard to top the great performances and the epic cast of x-men

I liked both. The storyline in DOFP was solid and I enjoyed it. However, I think The Winter Soldier also had a great story but much more action. My vote goes to Cap 2.

As much as I loved Days of Future Past, The Winter Soldier still remains my favourite movie of the year. The Cap vs Winter Soldier fights give it the edge.

Best X-men movie yet....but still not quite Cap2 level. I'd put it on par with Iron Man but below Avengers & Cap 2. DOFP was a lot better than I expected.

The Winter Soldier. That whole movie was almost perfection to me, from top to bottom. The cast, the story, the action, the characters... I loved everything about it and the last time I remember being that into a movie and having such a good time at the theater was Avengers.

I enjoyed Days of Future Past more than I thought I would mainly due to the 70s era cast, and I loved the Charles-Erik dynamic, but I had some problems with the story and the continuity/timelines is a mess if you think on it for more than a minute.

DOFP doesn't touch Winter Soldier for me.

I voted DoTFP only because I'm more of a X-Men fan, but action wise, Singer just doesn't deliver. All the build up, I was hoping for a big Magneto/Sentinel showdown against Xavier and some X-Men at the end.

I am in the same boat because the ending was split between the past and the future and we they had to have this show down of words in the end it came at the expense of the finally.

I really can't choose; partly because I don't want to, and partly because they were both so close, in my opinion; too close to call.

I'd say that DOFP was probably the most entertaining X-Men movie but it doesn't hold a candle to CA:TWS. But that's okay, this has been a great year for cbm's and I expect GotG to close it out awesomely.

I have to give the edge to DOFP but not by much. They are both fantastic adaptations of their source material and just pitch perfect comic book superhero films that are full of intelligence and charged with emotion while having jawdropping action sequences. At the end of the day, I love them both.

I saw DOFP tonight, and after this, my vote goes to DOFP. Pretty sure this is my favorite X-movie now, and X2 was previously at the very top of my list of comic movies. I think Winter Soldier did what it set out to do very well, but they were very different kinds of movies, of course, and so it comes down to personal taste. And X-Men appeals to me as a more conventional comic story, also a much grander one, one that fixes a lot of the junk in the franchise that needed fixing and sets the franchise on a potentially very positive course, and does it while referencing a story from Claremont and Byrne, who were responsible for my favorite comic run in existence. Also, the onslaught of great acting in this movie--Fassbender, Jackman, McAvoy, Dinklage, even Jennifer Lawrence here. Cap had decent dramatic performances, but nothing like X-Men IMO. Not that that was ever a real strength or focus of Marvel Studios anyway.

This is what elevated it from a good flick to a great one for me as well. They've got a dynamic, talented team brimming with charisma. It may sound kind of fanboi but when I first saw Fass on screen, I had a 'there he is' moment. Hell, I was preinvested. I do agree with whoever posted that it's getting old seeing Magneto being the big bad, so hopefully with the lineup of heavy hitters we're apparently getting, Magneto will slip into a somewhat less dangerous role.
