At last...

GREAT FIGURE! Great sculpt, great paint, great material... the praise has been confirmed for me.

Really, this figure has brought the standards way up for this line now. He's far superior to most of the other figures.

As has been stated many, many times, this is one kick-asss sculpt. Even the neck line has some detail -- unusual for SS figures. And the belt is nicely made with some built-in weathering. Top choice of material for the outfit. Boots are a nice sculpt too. i haven't even gotten to the extras yet, but the saber hilt looks awesome in the box!!!

Sideshow, this one is far-and-away a homerun!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I was thinking about that. Now I've got figures of Obi-Wan as he looked in the OT and PT. But TPM & AOTC Obi are by Hasbro, and it would look pretty jarring seeing all four on the shelf together.

Got Obi-Wan today.

Best Obi-Wan ever?...YES!

Best Sideshow Star Wars 1:6 scale figure?...No...Boushh beats him for the overall figure.

However...I am ALMOST as stoked as everyone about how awesome this figure is. But once again, the quality monster bit me. My Obi-Wan's left elbow has the upper part of the articulation glued frozen like so many of my other Sidewshow figures have.

DarthRazz - Thanks for the tip on the parted Ben...looks like I am either going to have to send this one back, or buy the mannquin from the one they have parted out. And everything else about my Obi-Wan is so perfect, that I do not want to send it back for fear of getting crappy accessories in the replacement.

I will try the heat gun first, but I have had no luck with that technique with any of my other figures that had this issue.

Edit - And by the way, Wor-Gar. What were you thinking to pose Obi-Wan like that? How can you not know that it is REQUIRED to have his contemplative hand on his chin for that Playgirl shot. I think a re-shoot is in order.
