I've done it several times before without a problem. The key is to go through a business, not a private seller. I know what you guys are saying, but at the same time, if you're judicious about it you'll be ok.
I personally I agree with Collectorol. And like I said why not just wait list it

Wait listing assumes that the deal is as good. Again, I hear what you guys are saying, but I've preordered several pieces on eBay without incident. Just gotta be judicious is all.
I don't care how legit they seem, no way I am doing a PO over 30 days through ebay/paypal, just asking for trouble.

Well, anyway, my preorder for Sonja is through Sideshow. We'll just have to agree that we have different philosophies otherwise. For me, it depends on the price, the seller, and the item.
There you go, that is the kind of thing I was talking about. Sorry to see that happen, and I am sure folks got hit even not doing preorders, but for this kind of money you need to be cautious.

Nobody in Jan has had a conversion yet. I am Jan1 and nothing yet.

Chances are most will convert you just have to wait it is closer to ship date. Most do.
I will probably be the 1st Jan conversion and I will post as soon as it does.
