It must just be us Amazon people that got the delay. That's a shame, especially since they had the date at March originally.

I'm with you Deano. I only want figuarts, and would choose to have nothing if a character was anything but.

I don't understand. You can still watch your DVDs or Blu Rays. It's just another option for people. That's how a lot of people when they were waiting for the English Dub of Dragon Ball Z though. They thought it was completely butchered and dumb down. I don't want to start a debate, especially since we've got some Figuarts conversations going, but I love KAI. I started with the Ocean Dub and then tried the Funimation dub and hated it. If it wasn't for KAI, I wouldn't have gotten into the franchise. I can't stand the Faulconer music, and like the Japanese music, because it feels timeless. Not the vocals in the songs stuff though, I just think it's just weird, but the orchestra I find beautiful! The original KAI music, I thought was terrible though, but they changed it to the original Dragon Ball Z Japanese music on the blu rays, and I love that. And I'm not saying the Faulconer music is terrible. I love Disturbed and Pantera, but I thought they were awful when they were in the Dragon Ball Z movies, but I watch them in Japanese anyways. I'm confused. Please know this isn't an argument or anything!

No it's not an argument, sorry Bane, I typed that a little impulsively out of annoyance. It just annoys me that we already had at the very least three distinct versions that divided fans pretty severely, and now there's even a fourth and I'm just annoyed at it. Essentially we're not a fan of the same thing when it comes down to it. And unlike MMPR were it's just a western/asia divide, which is fine, it divides within the western fan base, both among the original generation (Funi vs Ocean, which was and still is worse enough of a divide) and old fans vs new fans. And I just find that situation incredibly annoying. I'd delete my post but you already responded to it so I'm too late.

EDIT: Sorry I just wanna add to this and I'd like to know if any of the Faulconer fans feel the same way, but it's just weird when you hold something dear from your youth and you see it changed to the point where they remove and update all sorts of stuff that you loved and cherish and completely changes the tone of it. And that just sucks. They could've made Kai with Faulconer and add the original score option just like on the remastered DVD's for people who prefer that, but now they essentially gave a large part of the original western fanbase's memories a massive FU and shut us out from this recut, retooled version and I just get pissed off about that. It's just a lack of respect for a lot of people's experience with the original show. And what that was. As if that wasn't worthy of getting a Kai version. It's just insulting to us really. You'd feel the same way if they suddenly gave Batman the animated series updated graphics dialog and a score that's very different from what you knew. Just wanted to add that to explain why I get so riled up about it.

Hey man, it's no problem! I deleted it, so if you want to go back it time, you can! I don't mind subs for a movie, but for a TV series, it's tough. I want to hear it in English and want to be able to understand my favorite fictional characters voices! You want to know why I went on about the Boo arc being written so bad. I just went through Dragon Ball Z with KAI for the 8th time! That's why I came to that realization!

I do kind of agree with silrian here; the original score was part of why I loved dbz back when, kai just doesnt feel the same with cheezy japanese music. I dont agree with the new animation and dialogue though for the most part; the new animation shows me they care enough to redo dated parts, and the new voices (apart from Gohan *shudders*) bring new life into the show. I do agree thay some parts shouldnt be touched though.

It's an adaptation of the manga made for the 25th anniversary of Dragon Ball though. That's where I'm confused. If you just go by the original series though, isn't the problem that the dub wasn't accurate and they didn't keep the music? Because if it was then every fan around the world, no matter which version you watched or read, would be on the same page? How do you think Toriyama feels what was done to his characters?

I would not feel that way if they did that to Batman though. The only person that should feel bad is Bruce Timm and co, and if they're for it, then there's no problem. If new kids enjoy the update, and it inspires and helps them through rough times that's great. Maybe they'd hate the version I love, but it's still there for me.

I don't hold anything from my childhood, because I'm no longer a child. If hold on to that stuff, I won't continue to grow as a person.

I think we should get back into the figuarts discussion now though.

So I recently ordered a datong SSj Trunks figure from ebay and they sent me 2! 2 for the price of 1, I ain't complainin', lol

I guess I'm just not like that Bane, regarding the updating of stuff thing.:) But sure, we'll move on.

Lol wtf crisis, lucky fellow. Hope they don't both break out of horrible quality.

Also, weren't there people who fixed saiyan saga vegeta's legs by switching them with ssj vegeta's? Did anybody try this and if so does it work!? I remember somebody somewhere saying it did the trick quite conveniently.

Actually, I haven't tried, but damn, my Saiyan Vegeta loose was incredibly loose, I just put some transparent plastic on the peg and now it's some stiff, yet, the other day I removed to remember how loose it was... And was even more loose!! it feels odd that my vegeta can't be without that in his peg... It's not visible, yet it really bothers me!

:rotfl I'm sorry, too much innuendoes.:lol

Yeah it'll only get looser. You can press them tightly in the socket and he'lls stand like that usually, but then there's no movement room. I hope somebody can confirm whether the switching works. I did glue my Vegeta's torso to his waste, kept falling off too. Don't get how this release could've been this bad really ruins an otherwise fantastic figure.

Darn! I thought we found out earlier! Thanks for finding that. We got a ways to go! I hope you're right about them announcing it early. It's going to be interesting to find out what prototypes they'll have. I wonder if there will be a poll this year, or they're using the first release of next year as the winner of last year's and maybe the new poll will choose the last release of next year, since they already know the first two. It sounds like a riddle!

Wait, we know the first TWO releases of next year? We don't even have kid buu confirmed and who would the other one be?

Btw, clearly we do not get the fan poll chosen release this year. Although some might argue that's Goku.

We don't, but Pwnstar said BlueFin knew the next two releases, and I would assume they are for next year. I said "the first release of next year as the winner of last year's," meaning if Majin Boo won last year's SDCC poll, then he would be the first release of next year. When I said, "maybe the new poll will choose the last release of next year," I meant if there is a poll this SDCC, the third release of 2015 might be the winner of this years poll. Like I said, it sounds like a riddle!

I've never tried switching the legs on SS and regular Vegeta but I know mine have 2 slightly different shades of blue and levels of black wash. I just put some super glue on the peg and it works. One more coat and it would be tight but I only used enough for it to stand on it's own.

Heh, innuendoes.

Who did you preorder from philosopher? I still dont think its a mass delay since alot of people already have him, and some places are in stock.

Also, I have to disagree with reaper here; some of us (myself included) want all figuarts displays, other figure series wont cut it, especially statues. Theres just no competition in quality with these figures, and honestly I would rather not have said character in my collection if there was no figuarts form of him.

It was the reason why i chose those 3 to be released in figuarts form first, that doesnt mean im fine with it but i rather have that scultures 16 then no 16 at all kinda of deal.

That's fine 12eape12, not everybody feels that way though. I think Big D's only issue was that you generalised your own opinion.:)

Hm fudge, the vegeta legs are differently shaded. Never realised. Well that blows that easy fix out the water.

I was hoping the box would have the spelling as "San Gokouh," ya know, just because.
