I prefer to buy the books than read on a tablet. Just isn't for me

You can't beat that feel of holding a book IMO. That's the one format I won't ever go digital with. I love all my music & movies stored away on my computer etc but I love seeing my book collection grow. Hardcovers only for me though

:hi5: Absolutely. It's almost just as much about the overall experience than the material itself.

I'm currently building up my omnibus and trade/hardcover collection as we speak and it's awesome to be able to just go to the shelf pull out a great series and rehash it whenever you want.

Yeah it's great isn't it. I've got quite a big wish list of graphic novels I'm slowly working through on Amazon. I just bought the Wolverine Adamantium collection for a really good price the other day. After reading that I'm definitely going to order the X-Men Adamantium. The only problem with them books is there to big for my book shelf, there huge :horror

But I love the look of a book collection as well, I think it can look really nice when displayed right

I hear you it's hard to find a spot for them but they are a work of art in terms of quality and size. I'm super excited for the upcoming XMEN one and especially the MARVELS one that is coming a few months after that...getting to enjoy Alex Ross's art work on those big pages is going to be badass.

+1. :exactly:

I'm more of an issue by issue reader but have been contemplating going to trade/omnibus just so I dont have to keep adding long boxes into storage. Plus having them on the shelf is nice.

I also love reading the omnibus/OHC's much more than on the tablet. But, it does allow me to read stuff before purchasing it.

If I had in infinite amount of space I'd probably go issue to issue but a while back I realized my man cave was being overrun by the long boxes so I switched over to omnibus and trade/hardcovers and haven't looked back since. I find it makes for a much cleaner compact look especially if you're a statue collector since space is essential.

I wasnt much of a statue collector before but now that I've been growing my collection heavily this year I have run into the issue of space. I'll most likely make the switch here soon. Like you said it looks so much cleaner with the trade/omnibus collection than having long boxes piled up.

You guys just got me to order the God Butcher

Let's see how good it is :)

Same! I just bought Volume #1 & #2!

My friend has these in hardcover and the covers are amazing!!! Compared to DC's hardbacks these are so much more worth it. They feel so smooth and sleek! My bookshelfs are about to burst...I'm going to need a third here soon...haha. Omnibus and volumes are the way to go!

Agreed.

Enjoy the read, it's been a great series.

God Butcher is a Top 5 Thor book for me.

As for reading I'm 35 and switched to digital and am one of the few old men who hasnt looked back since!

I'm 22 and I call myself an old man all the time. All my injuries have forced early aging. :saruman:saruman

Holy crap bro how are you affording these. I remember when I was your age window shopping the SSC site lol. It'd take me another 8 years til I finally bought one.
