At this point, your best best would probably be to buy a new dome or helmet off of ebay. Did you take a pic of the dome when this was new in the box? The fact that the figure has been thoroughly customized probably doesn't weigh in your favor. Sucks, but you might have to take a hit on this.

The helmet came unglued out of the box. I didn't even mod a thing helmet wise. My retailer told me to find photos of a perfect helmet so I can send comparison photos to help my case. I won't go to ebay until I have no other options left.

Fellas, I need some help. My retailer received a reply from SSc in regards to vaders dome. Apparently they don't see any problems with it. To which i say...are you blind?? My request is, can someone please take close up photos of their stock vader helmet. Along with the display helmet as well. I wanna show them comparison shots. Pics that look similar to these preferably.

This is the other dome. Not as apparent as the original one, but it's still there.


I ask you guys...is it not apparent enough??

It would really help me out a great deal. It's frustrating that this can't be taken care of sooner.

Mine arrived with a loose helmet on the figure as well. Is there an issue with the widows peak on your helmet as well or is that just the camera angle?

Yeah, if you look at vader from mchaleys photos and compare them to mine, you can see there's a chunk of the widows peak missing from my dome.

Dude, thank you soooo much. Lol I love the angle of the first pic, but I don't think that pic will work. The 2nd one is better although blurry. is it possible for a clearer, closer front on shot of both this dome as well as the display dome? No angles preferably. Just straight on. Sorry to be such a hassle. But I don't wanna run into a possible situation with SSc saying your pics arent good enough.

There are TONS of Vader photos in this & the Vader modification thread. Surely you should be able to find plenty.

Yeah I know, but I wanna take care of this as soon as possible...going through page after page looking for decent pics is gonna take a long time. Gonna be honest, I'm slightly panicking from this.

Well my Vader is packed away and I've got to get back to work & get my son ready to go to school in a hour...so I think you can look through photos of Vader and find some good ones for your cause, unless someone who has it on display takes some more shots for you.
What about the other Helmet on the Reveal Head... is that damaged too?

I'm actually sifting through the mod thread as we speak. But thanks again for the other two pics.

The dome for the reveal head has the same problem, only not as obvious. I wouldn't have minded so much if at least one helmet was perfect...but both?? Ugh.

Put a red circle around the area that's damaged. They'll have no trouble seeing it then.

Exactly what I thought!! I've collected and sent 7 photos from this very thread to them and enlarged each one. If they STILL don't see the issue...well, not much I can do but to say "eff them."

Received my Deluxe Vader today ('bout time!). Looks really good and I am happy to report no defects whatsoever. Looks like SS (or my retailer?) learned from the tusks debacle at release, look at the 2nd pic to see their solution. Looks kinda weird when opening the box, but it does the trick.

Put him next to my ANH Vader to compare and I can't really decide which I like better. The older Vader does have the Hasbro dome, Ifrognio robes and Deluxe hands, so not a stock comparison. Anyhow, the last pic will be this figure's permanent spot. Used the massive base to lift op Palps a bit. Now just waiting for my CC saber to arrive and my shelf will be complete!

It's a shame this new Vader don't have a light up lightsaber out of the box.

Really want to buy this one but without this feature, i'm really not sure...
