There's a few of us. I personally post here and statue forum (although I feel statue forum has been a bit strange lately with the mods going a bit OTT).

I mostly talk just here. If you mean actually in real life (the horror ) then no, I don't think so, although some of the other fella's might hook up. I've met Deedzy through a sale of a piece, he's also on here and also a West Aussie.

Any questions just ask here of PM one of us. The other guy's are a bit bigger collectors than me so they would probably have a bigger knowledge base.

Maybe one day we could all hook up for a beer and talk shop, you never know.

Sounds good to me! I'm pretty new to collecting. I've only got the PF Deadpool so far. I've got a pre-order on the LSF Iron Man mk vii from Pop Cultcha and a reg balrog. I'm really excited about this hobby. Pretty expensive tho. lol

Hi guys. Just a quick question, who among you guys are from Western Australia? If you're from here, are there any places where people gather and talk statue and such?

We're Aussies mate, I think for people to meet up in person on a regular basis to talk about statues is a bit g*y. I think I waste enough time on here as it is, not just statues but collecting in general is different for different people. Some it's an addiction others it's a hobby, for the rich people it's a pastime lol. But for me it's about moral art. I will only buy a piece if it has a deeper meaning for me, like maybe what the character represents, or morally represents. Maybe something or someone in a time of your life that a particular piece or item that resembles or morally resembles something you want to remember.

IMO if your just buying pieces because you want a whole collection of that type or it just looks cool, you're just buying a piece of rock, and that's an addiction. This is all my opinion I don't mean to point fingers at anybody. I did this with my Gears of War collection and I've still got all (needing to downsize it) I LOVE the game but certain pieces just don't mean anything to me, so they are just sitting pieces of rock.

Anyway I lost thought about what I was gonna say about meeting up lol

LOL! You're right. It's slighty g4y. Let me be more specific tho. I don't know what "collectors" etc. I'm kinda equating this hobby to my other hobbies like flying Helis and Rc Heli's where a club is necessary to talk smack in person about mechanical stuff etc....

im down in busso. I wouldn't mind meeting up as a once off just to see ppl's pieces. I'm not a massive collector, so a regular thing would be a bit funny. having said that ive become pretty good mates with a fellow air Jordan collector. lol. anyway, I'm a year away from having this in hand anyway so theres plenty of time anyway. mite post fotos of my g1 prime when it arrives. and the same company are unveiling their g1 megatron very soon so i'll share those pics as well.

Don't get me wrong extra options are always good but I don't think Prime even touched the shotgun in the movie, it was Megatrons weapon.

I would have thought something like Megatrons severed head after Prime goes mental on him at the end of the movie would have been a better more logical option?

Not complaining, just putting it out there.

I Ordered the EX. on Thursday, this is the first time on my nine years of collecting that i spent such amount of money in one statue but, i just couldn't resist no to order this amazing piece.

funny you should say that. I think it was next level on the calibre forums last year that hinted that there was going to be a much better more expensive optimus that was coming and he said at the time that there was going to be an extra of megatrons head with an axe through it. didn't come to fruition obviously??

Without getting called an ex basher again, I think something other than a weapon would have been my choice. I mean he's loaded with weapons. We are quite lucky he comes with so much, but then at this price point I think its a requirement to at least have some options. I'm glad everyone gets the big gun and both head sculpts, everyones a winner.

I think Prime used the shotgun at the end to blow Sentinels head. For the exc, the jet pack would have been a killer..... Even if they charge more for it, people would definitely be after it hardcore.

I have been a lurker.... no longer.

For the first time in over 10 years this is the 2nd statue I have bought in the last year.

The first being SS Boba Fett Mythos.

This being the 2nd... and the most expensive statue I have ever bought. Didn't think twice.

The bar on statues has risen over the last 5 years with some extraordinary pieces coming to the market.

This piece at the highest.

I am a fan of Optimus... the movies are fun but no masterpiece... however this statue kills it period.

Listening to some of you idiots argue about price... ex vs es... G1 Prime.... better to buy SS PF Batman etc makes me puke.

I suggest you go back to McDonalds and continue to flip burgers.

The sheer detail in this statue and attention to digital file detail is amazing and unsurpassed. You CANNOT compare this to a HUMANOID figure (Batman are you ******* kidding me). Anyone that attempts to rationalize this has an IQ below 50... stay off this board.

EX VS ES.... STFU... if you were too slow to buy the EX which sold at the exact same price as the ES... well what can I say.. thats why you are struggling to make payments on this badboy.... you are a talker not a mover. GO back to mamas bedroom.

Some interesting shots, here's cab forward Prime from the new movie, which will be the most G1-ish version of Prime in the films. It's like the TF1-3 design, but more traditional. I hope Prime1 do a version of him.

And here is Samurai Prime, really a totally different design and build, again, hope they do him.
