Okay guys, will have an update coming up this week on my custom Droids EX display base...looking good so far. Initial sculpt has been made from clay and was only casted in polystone this weekend so am just waiting for it to be painted

HOWEVER...it would now appear that all this will be in vain

As some new custom droids have been brought to my attention...this time in half scale currently in the process of having R2 built for me whereas 3PO will be completed sometime in the summer. Here is a pic of R2

He comes with complete light up features plus sound effects!!!

Thanks bud basically, a friend of mine who knows that I'm big into half scales made me aware of a guy in the States who had only one of these R2 kits available for sale. It will still need to be fully assembled and painted plus have the light and sound features built in but I'm really excited about it. Don't know too much about the 3PO yet but I was told that its being commissioned and should be completed in the summer.

that my friend, is my novelty R2D2 telephone which plays his customary 'beep beep' noises, as per the movies, when an incoming call is received and includes light up features too with moving head the actual handset is located on the right leg of R2 and just clips off

I had the Darth Vader version but sold it not long ago as some of the features no longer worked

The exclusive version looks nicely detailed and has some good effects.

Yes, that's the one. I've seen them on ebay ranging from $100 to $250 and nearly always located in Japan.
I always get stung for import tax when buying from Japan.
